Use tranq darts to knock it out it's a TON easier go for a high lv if your going to tame one there really fast and can dive yw

Be very careful when near the griffin. It's very aggressive, and the fastest flyer in the game. If you're a low level with only stone tools, then run like the wind( Try to get into water ). However, it's an amazing tame, so I suggest you should get it.

When you encounter them try running behind objects or standing still as they have a huge turning radius

So if you want to tame a griffin you'll need about 50 tranq arrows for a 1-35 lvl then 50+ for any levels 40+ and two crossbows (just in case the other breaks). You don't necessarily NEED a trap but it is recommended! (Bigger traps are always better). You can find traps on yt. (ALSO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PTERANDON) ALSO BRING NARCOTICS! I thought I didn't need them and I was mistaken, so I had to use narco berries. SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

So once you got all of that you need to find a griffin. Once you've found one you'll need to knock it out by putting it inside the trap. Or you can make it surround you (it has terrible turning radius) then knock out. If you don't have a trap to use on the griffin it will run and probably agro on another dino while trying to run.(use that chance to knock it out, try not to do it over water). Once knocked out feed narcotics when the unconscious level gets to the first " s" . Recommend prime meat or mutton but just normal meat will work also (normal meat will just have less than an effect) then boom! You got yourself a griffin!

For the people who like cats, birds, and speed the griffin is one of the best beast on ragnarok for you my friend, you can dive bomb your enemies but otherwise it does low damage but it is very fast

INF STAMINA ON THE GRIFFIN

If you want inf stamina on the griffin whistle your griffin to follow, hop off the main seat and get on the passenger seat (you can stand on the back and tail of the griffin while in mid-air) and switch back if the energy is full! just be careful as you might end up falling off!

I have a way that doesn’t require dino gates but does require something else: Get 10 stone pillars, one stone ceiling, a stone stair, a flyer (pteranodon is preferable), darts and meat. Set 5 pillars in a U shape and double stack them and put ceiling on middle pillar. Lure Griffin into trap and place a stone stair behind so can’t move. Dart it and BOOM! You got a Griffin!

A wild Griffin is a damn dangerous flying monster.

It's fast, does a lot of damage, it' even flying around you like a vulture to make some psychological warfare. It has a dive ability too. Be aware that it is hard to tame it without any trap, but I've got you covered, just use a Netgun and it will instantly fall to ground, then you build 4-5 Gate frames on the Griffin while you have 2 Gates ready to close the entrances, so it stays put. Or have the gates built beforehand, lure it in and then close the gates.

Aaaaand... don't get hit, this thing can slay you and your whole family tree in a matter of seconds.

Once you have tamed it with some meat, prime meat, mutton, or kibble, you can get rid of your trap and mount this Demon without enslaving it with a saddle. It has 2 Seats, stays in air like a helicopter, you can even fly backwards or left and right. In other words: It's maneuverability is extreme. It has a nice Dive ability. The best and fastest way to move this thing is by diving all the time. Fly down until it reaches a nice speed and then pull it back up, with this technique, you are able to cross large distances in a short amount of time. It's able to pick dinos up, but only the small boys n girls.

It's one of the fastest and most dangerous flyiers by the way. You can even breed those Insane and awkwardly beautiful Bird like creatures.

Actually pretty nice and easy tame! (If ya know what your doing and have the requirements but what dinosaur do you not have to plan to catch??) so just search up ‘cheapest griffin taming’ on YouTube and boom griffin. Also making them breedable please imagine a baby griffin 🤭🥰!!!

Found them on Lost Island at 25/76.6 top right side of the map on that island connected by a tiny bit of land. Around the biggest mountain!

Since you can use a bow/gun easy solo quetz tame.

Please be careful after taming they have such low health a compy can kill them I play with load difficulties yeah so I came to level five but it only had 32 health it was literally killed by a bug

You may not know but griffins can destroy tek replicators on pvp

1. Build a Trap (You dont even need Beartraps)

2. Pull the Griffin with a Pteranodon and bringen it in the trap

3. Use Tranq Darts to knock it out (normal Tranq Arrows might kill it)

4. You have a Griffin

There in the canyons next to the wyvern edge place in crystal isles

These things are slightly terrifying. Taming is very similar to an argentavis, but since they're so fast they are hard to catch once they start to fly away. A taming pen is recommended unless you have a tapejara with another tribemate to shoot at it. Allosaurus kibble works the best but alas mutton is a wonderful​alternative since the ovis is abundant on Ragnarok. These creatures are a bit narcotic heavy so be ready! Very worth it though!

Make sure to trap griffin using 4 Dino gates and two doors or have fun chasing it around

you can't dive holding a torch. Keep your hands free.

A net projectile will trap a Griffin, and as long as you have two players shooting the Griffin with shocking tranq darts, you can knock these guys unconscious pretty fast.
