Around mountain tops with no snow usually on ragnarok

To find the griffin (lost island) you need to go to 33.8 75.4

The easiest way to tame a griffin 😌.

Requirements: 4 stone Dino gateways - 2 reinforced Dino gates - 1 net gun and some ammo for it - crossbow or rifle - tranq arrows or tranq darts -

First, you must make a stone trap, I recommend getting four stone Dino gateways and two reinforced gates, this way you can reuse the trap to tame other griffins. This will require around 1,200 stone I think 400~ thatch (maybe) and about 650 wood (approx). I recommend getting a large tame with good weight and using a metal axe and pick instead of using a Dino to harvest :)

Now, you must find a griffin, they usually spawn in either the mountain plain areas on most maps (that they are on) or winter biomes.

Once you find a griffin, make sure there aren’t any other creatures around that could kill you or the griffin.

Now, run up to the griffin and use the net gun to trap it. Place the Dino gateways in a line, make sure the gaps aren’t to big. Place the doors at both sides of the trap, make sure they’re closed ofc.

Now, you can use tranq darts or tranq arrows (with crossbow). Wait a few good seconds before shooting again with the crossbow though, or you may kill it.

Shove some meat in its inventory and you have a griffin! I recommend going to the info section for the best food to get!

For people who play on the Nintendo Switch on Ragnarok, you can find them at Waterwall of the Ancients and Upper Hidana. At least, that’s where I found mine. They can also spawn close to mountains, canyons, and maaaaayyyybbbee the tundra. Hope this helps!

If you have managed to tame this fierce beast, please know that it has an amazing ability. If you are flying high in the sky, and you spot something you want to kill on the ground, then crank your griffin to FULL SPEED and fly directly down towards your target. Do not stop whatsoever, and you will smash into your target with a shocking blast. The power and force is enough to kill. Though it has massive strength, the griffin can only pick up small animals in its claws. To make up for that, the griffin can also ride updrafts and gain tremendous speed. Use this power wisely.

Just build a 2x4 or 2x6 pen with a dino gate on one side, placing stone pillars on the outer edges all along it. Make it near the green obelisk! Then fly the griffin into it thru the door with a pteranodon, fly out thru other end thru the pillars, land your mount, run to the other side, close the door, boom. Trapped griffin. Then tame with roughly 150 tranq arrows. Use mutton or prime meat as they are easiest to come by.

I tamed one by cageing myself and hitting it with my fist

If you have access to a snow owl, you can tame these with any crossbow! Just shoot it until it looks bloody, and heal it with the snow owl’s ability. Do it so that it heals quite a bit, but not so long that the torpor drains back empty. Then hop off the owl and continue shooting it with tranq arrows. I knocked a 140 with a 279 crossbow and using this method it had over half hp remaining once it finally went down.

You find them at 22,44 in ragnorak by the mountains and forests

This bird is very aggressive and will fly away at high speeds when it's almost dead or about to be knocked out.

They are the only flyer that can have the rider use weapons and fly. This is the best way to knock out Quetzes or difficult tames.

When leveling these guys up, stamina must be your first priority, i lost mine because it was forced land beside a spino in the water, rip. Peter

Be prepared because it is real fast and does a LOT of damage and I mean a LOT so first you are somewhere that there is 1 of them (fact on my private server 1 griffin was near my base) second you knock it out with tranks (sorry I’m only 8 I can’t spell properly) third tame it with raw meat (if not idk)repeat to get more up if you think it was helpful

You can use weapons while riding on the main seat of these guys on ascended

Killed a lvl 150 by spamming it w arrows. PLEASE get darts just so much easier
