Two days and two hour raise. On trough in 5 hours.

I had 1 rex egg with me cause i thought it was enough , it wasnt but i had full ghille armor on and was able to tame it with the mother next to me not seeing i was in the nest.

Mama must be distracted by fert eggs. Rex, giga, carchar eggs are better. If you kill mama, baby won't imprint. Imprint on baby must be done while mama is distracted pecking at eggs. Once she eats the egg, she will attack you. Retreat, wait for her to calm, throw another egg, rinse and repeat.

**If you already have a Gigantoraptor!!**

1. Have Gigantoraptor

2. Kill the wild parent

3. Find baby - easier to wait until it stops running away

4. Roar your Gigantoraptor (should be crouch button while riding)

5. While still riding Gigantoraptor, look at baby and press the claim button (Xbox = Y, Playstation = Triangle)

— If you dismount tame, get back on and try again, claim message should appear when in the right range —

IMPORTANT!!!

- If the wild baby is a HIGHER level then your own Gigantoraptor at tame ( Wild = 150, Yours =130) you are not allowed to hold it in your basket — You might still be able to claim it, but I am still unsure:(

YOU NEED FERT EGGS!! Levels DON’T matter!

After different attempts this worked best for me:

Step1: Solo or with a tribemate, scatter fert eggs all around nest, distanced about 3-4 foundations away from the nest.

Step2: You’ll hear/see mom attacking the egg(or tribemate can let you know) and that’s when you want to hide.

Step3: emote with the baby and if mom eats the egg it’s okay, she’ll come back and aggro on you

Step4: have your tribemate run into the nest to take over or if solo, run away leading her towards something else to aggro.

Step5: repeat the steps 2 - 4 until tamed.

After taking you can use your tamed gigantoraptor to pickup ORPHANED babies

New patch no longer lets you tame the baby while parent is trapped. You now have to use the egg drop method.

Step 1, YOU DONT NEED EGGS!!

Step 2, find a nest with parent and baby.

Step 3, while the parent is looking away SNEAK into the nest ( it will prompt you to push the interaction button)

Step 4, wait for baby to com to nest 🪺, it will alert by jumping and flapping its wings once indicating taming process is about to begin.

Step 5, baby will either spin (left), bow (down), or flap it wings (right) (controller dpad keys)

Step 6, the parent should must be allowed to come back to the nest and will return shortly after starting the taming process has started, if the parent does happen to attack you use a flyer and rest the parent by flying straight up over the nest and fly out of rended then return. If you have done it correctly the parent wont attack you while you do the taming process with the baby, it will protect you and the baby from any intruder, ur tribemate can even stand there with u beside the nest, but any sudden movement from your mate will alert the parent and attack, during a conflict where the parent runs away too far will make the baby pause the taming process. If and when this should happen to you, reset the parent by getting agro and flying up over the nest out of render. Return back to the nest and repeat steps 3-5. Resuming the taming process.

Step 6, once the taming process is 100% you have yourself a beautiful baby Gigantoraptor.

Side note: Parent is untamable

Can claim after killing parent as long as you have a gigantoraptor to claim it with

ghillie don’t work all the tips must be patched. best tip i found is a bronco egg, just set it play one round with the baby then run and snatch the egg and get her de aggro then rinse and repeat every time i picked egg back up and set it down it was refreshing her eating timer i only used 1 egg ( prob need bed rolls)

Grab a fertilized rex egg and place it about a Wyverns lenght from the nest, wait for the adult to get distracted pecking the egg (careful sometimes the adult will look at the egg and go straight back to the nest), get inside the nest pressing E, do the game with the Baby (ASD buttons on PC) then the baby will get distracted and come back after a couple of seconds for a second minigame, finish the second minigame and hop off the nest (E on PC) run straight back to your egg and grab it, lose aggro from the parent by flying on a mount (usually you dont get aggro), repeat the first step by placing the egg back down (the adult won't break it if you time this correctly) until you have tamed the baby. Also the baby only eats berries.

I’ve learned that you DONT even need a fertilized egg. Just make sure the parent isn’t getting attacked by any Dino’s. All you need is full Ghillie suit, sneak up to the nest but make sure the parent don’t see you sit in the nest, and then you can start imprinting on the baby. Up for those who can’t make a lot of eggs like me!

Note: you can not tame parent

In order to tame, you need…

Fertilized eggs (need about 3, but bring more just in case.) Almost any egg works but the bigger it is, the more time it gives you.

Ghillie (spelled it wrong probably) suit

1. Find a gigantoraptor with a nest and place fertilized eggs near nest but not to close so the parent can see you

2. When the parent leaves to eat the fertilized eggs go into nest and there should be a button that allows you to go into the nest

3. When the baby gigantoraptor comes back into the nest it will hop and do an action.

4. When it does the action, there should be three kinds of actions you can do and a picture above your hot bar should appear and tell you what button to press to do a specific action.

5. When you repeat the action the taming bar will up and the baby will leave

6. Repeat until tamed

Another note: the parent WILL come back after each eaten egg. When this happens, find a hiding place with the nest in sight. Not to far, not to close. When it leaves again, go back into nest and start taming again. I am pretty sure the taming bar does not go down when you leave as the parent comes back.

Through an annoying amount of frustration, I believe I have figured out the best way to tame these stupid things currently. (Until they patch it again...)

First thing first you will need:

1. 4 dinosaur gates and frames that can't be damaged by the gigantoraptor. (I used metal)

2. Ghillie or Flak, you can use either, I used ascendant Ghillie with a decent armor rating.

3. 1 fertilized egg, I used a fertilized wyvern egg.

4. Medical Brews I brought a stack of 100 and left with 89. I also had custom recipie food and drinks that passive healed me as well.

Now for how I set it up and tamed the baby...

About 60m from the nest, I setup the metal dinosaur gates and doors snapped together in a square. (Used a waypoint to measure rough distances) Then about 45m from the nest I dropped the wyvern egg.

After I had it all set up, I snuck around the nest off to the side. When the adult went for the egg, I hopped in the nest. You have enough time to do 2 mini games. Right after the 2nd mini game, I would jump up and run over and grab the egg from the parent. If you have Ghillie there is a good chance it won't even agro. Just keep running and pick up the egg as you run past, do not stop to get the egg. Cactus broth might help as well, however I did not have any and after getting the hang of it I stopped agroing the parent all together. If you do agro the parent, just run circles around the box, keep the box between you and it until it looses agro and wanders back to the nest. Sometimes it can trick you and circle back after the battle music stops. So keep an eye on her and be on your toes until she walks back to the nest and is no longer running. Then drop the egg and repeat until tamed.

Now for the baby glitch...

At one point the baby seemed to get stuck on the nest. At first I got frustrated and tried whipping it. This only agrod the parent, The baby didn't budge. After a few minutes it got itself unstuck, however it would no longer activate the mini game. It would walk over and stand there staring at me like it wanted to for a minute, then just wander off. After some questioning and a server reset, which did nothing. I was close to giving up, I tried picking up my box but still nothing. I then questioned weather it being seemingly stuck in the nest was actually it sleeping, because it had just turned 00:00 in game time. So I decided to wait until day time. At 05:00 in game time I gave it another go, and boom working again. It seems like in their infinite wisdom wildcard/snail has fixed the Ghillie only taming method by removing the ability to tame them at night, and not mentioning it anywhere that i have seen. So they can only be tamed during the day, hopefully this helps save others my frustration...

Use a firtilized Rex egg and do one interaction with the baby pick up the Rex egg and repeat I did this and only used 1 egg for a lvl 150

I hope the osd taming method gets added it’s my favorite part

If you have an adult giga raptor depending on the lvl of baby you can kill parent and tame baby using the baby call with ur current one.

1) Bring Fertilized eggs with you try for a bigger Dino egg to be safe, you might need about 2-4

2) Drop egg close to nest but make sure its far enough away so that the Gigantoraptor will come out and won't aggro you while you are in the nest

3) Run into nest and "hide" in the nest and wait for baby to come into the nest

4) Mirror the movements of the baby

5) Repeat until tamed

Another thing you can do is bring a friend to pick up the mom with a Rhynio and you can the baby with no issues, I just wouldn't kill the mom as it might affect the taming process.

Last tip: Once tamed pluck feathers as they can be used in breeding to get higher Stat of parents
