Tips & Strategies

ANY fertilized eggs will work (I used dodo eggs no prob)
You do need fertilized eggs.I tested it, it didn’t care at all about the eggs that aren’t fertilized. And I’m pretty sure you can’t use a trap because I tested that as well and the baby was frozen.BUT the trap was kinda far away from the baby so if you put it really close to the nest it might work.
**If you already have a Gigantoraptor then kill the parent and imprint with the one you have. **Note: YOU cannot imprint, you MUST imprint using and riding the adult one you have. Otherwise do the mini game. :)
You don't even need a full Ghillie suit to tame these guys, I was missing the Ghillie shoes and it still worked like a charm. Amazing creature: fast, has different attacks, and has bonus for babies. Recommended tame!
Steps to tame on officials:
1) use bug and have partner
2)find nest you want
3)bug driver eats everything around then picks and holds parent the whole time facing away from nest but not too far from it
4)partner gets in the nest
5)partner tames baby then cryopods it
6)eat parent as they dont ever spawn another baby in nest
7)fly off into the distance happy as can be.
Congrats! Your first Gigantoraptor! And even got to save on eggs.
While raising: feed meat.
Seems to be timed like an allo. Give or take 30mins. Good Luck!
To tame this you got to get the Baby and follow These steps:
1. Take a Giga or Carcha Egg with you
2. Find a Giganto Nest
3. Drop the egg you have a Bit far away from the nest. The giganto will See and eat it
4. Hurry and sneak into the Nest, wait for Baby to join in
5. Press the correct button(s) and soon it is tamed
6. Pod it and thats it
Step one: find gigantoraptor nest
Step two: find gigantoraptor parent and drop fertilized egg 5-15 foundations away from nest (I used giga since that’s what’s in release video)
Step three: await gigantoraptor parent to walk away from nest towards egg
Step four: run up to nest and enter nest (access inventory button) now wait in nest for baby to run up to you and do its dance - copy its dance move successfully to start taming **IF done quickly enough you should get 2-3 dance moves with the baby before the egg breaks and you have to left the nest and drop a new distraction egg
Repeat steps 2-4 until tamed. P.S - when the parent breaks the egg you dropped it WILL come back to the nest every time, if you are in the nest when the parent returns it will aggro you and you can’t distract it with an egg while it’s aggro’d.
Step 1 metal billboard the parent Cole but not to close to the nest
Step 2 go upto nest you will get a prompt to hide in nest
Step 3 once in nest baby will walk into nest and do an animation follow the same dance as baby at the same time
Step 4 repeat as many times as nessary till tamed DO NOT AGRO PARENT
Step 5 Enjoy the new tame once raised and imprinted
1. Find a nest
2. Trap parent
3. Hide in nest
4. Use emote when promoted, Copy the baby.
5. Do this until tamed.
6. All done
Just don't lose your cool and be patient. I did freak out when I first tried to tame it bc the mother would aggro on me all the time or just get too far away and it wouldn't work. So I killed any other dinos around that could be a threat to the mom, got more eggs, (Rex eggs, the best ones I have at the moment), and used an Argentavis to drop the eggs not too far away, just enough where I would be able to see the big bird. Used full ghillie suit. The mother eventually gets back to the nest even if she hasn't eaten all the eggs, then you have to get away, and wait for her to go back to eggs, and that's how it goes. The taming effectiveness won't go down if you get out of the nest, only if you get the minigame wrong. In my singleplayer that on 4x for taming, just 4 eggs were needed. It's a super fun tame once you get it right, and it's absolutely worth it. The babies are the cutest ever
If you're bold and lucky like me, you don't need the eggs. Just a full ghillie suit
All of these are false tips. You have to have a fertilized egg and multiples. 3 rock drake eggs didn't even tame a lvl 120 on 2x. I needed at least 8. Seems like alot of work for a simple creature especially when everything aggressive to you and it. Reapers are easier than this tame. It's ridiculous
Hit up scorch and snag a few Wyvern Eggs. Keeps them occupied for at least 2 dances from the baby.
You need to lure the mother a short way from the nest and trap her, billboards seem to work best. Then return to the nest and 'hide' in it. The baby will approach you and then begin one of 3 actions which you must mimic by selecting the appropriate response. Do this repeatedly over time to complete the tame
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A LOT OF FURT EGGS. Find the adult look for the nest and when you find the nest you need to distract the mama with furt eggs the bigger the better and hide in the nest and wait for the baby to come to you and initiate a capy what I did mini game there is spin bow and flap it will be random dn you have to be fast depending on the size of the egg you might get to copy's in then you have to stop hiding and walk away a little before the mama finishes the egg and goes to the nest to check them all you need to do is repet it and make sure your dino you came with is a good distance so mama doesn't agro mama has to be alive for the taming to work
To distract parent place pillars 2 high and stand on the other side and they can’t damage you through the pillar.. stand and wait while your tribemate dances with baby
Nobody knows how to tame this because it isn't released yet. Yet encountered, it may act similar to Raptors and Reapers, though may gain speed over charging. Have any questions? You may look it up on the D.D.D Website on Fandom, or wait for the Wiki Page. Have comments? Share it as an Everything Else Tip!
Have a good ARK Time.
In the submission it protects eggs and babies and gets a buff when near them and it has a yuti type roar. that seems a little unbalanced so it’ll probably change, the dossier should be released next week. they did mention it having sharp claws so maybe it has a roar that gives other creatures bleed damage? (probably not that’s waaaaayy op)

Fight pegos and other scary stuff to tame dis guy
Have a friend hold onto it with a bug while your friend chills in the nest easy tame
