Place a stone foundation and four stone doorframes. Place inside by picking up with medium to large flying creatures ( I use argentavis), and drop it inside your doorframes. This prevents it from escaping and allows you to still get close without risking getting hit, also just crouch. I have tamed at least four this way and have trapped many more (to see how long it could survive against raptors and terror birds.) Please make it so others learn this easy way to stop them from getting away when you are taming them.

Ark's very own king Kong. You looking to cave dive, take this awesome tame with you. one or two should do, accompanied with a pack of dire wolf's, then your practically unstoppable. These tame has a knock back attack allowing you to throw in more hit than your nemesis and hey not to ignore their high damage and high hp, all this coupled with extra amor gotten from their helmet, They are basically waking bulwarks.

I highly recommend taming these things don’t need a saddle so they’re perfect for low level taming

It’s a passive tame feed berries but I recommend some kibble because it’ll take forever otherwise

Go to your character and press tame so you can see if your gigantopithecus is alive you can request it too but all you items on your gigantopithecus will be gone but it will be teleported to you

It would be cool if they can shoulder mount mesopithecus

If you go the route of putting it into an enclosed space DO NOT have any other or your tamed Dino’s in there it will randomly crash out and start beating your tamed Dino’s. She currently punching my lvl 150 trike

If you search up Bigfoot this shows up so yeah

These guys are naturally peace-loving creatures, and can be found in the Redwood Forest. You need to be lvl 30 or they will reject any attempts at taming. They are also easily ticked off if you get too close during a taming process or by accident. It may not usually make these sounds, but these are their approximate voice-lines if you want to tame them but can’t find them (some of these may help you during the taming process if you listen for them), note these are all at a deep pitch)

Idle/Wandering: HU-HU-HU-HUH.

Eating/berry picking: *Item-gathering noises*

Upon being bumped into by a player: ARGH.

Throwing a punch: BLAH!

Upon dying/being killed: BLAARGH!

Leveling up: *Low-pitched, quiet/calm laughter*

So I'm a bit late but they also increase the keeping duration of giant bees honey by 5* what it normally is I'm using this guy as my honey keeper

Good for base defence if you pump movement seed like 200% and put the rest into damage

Fiber Gatherer: Gigantopithecus is a great fiber collected, even being able to gather fiber while on wander

Warrior: With the knock back of a Bronto, and high melee damage, they can make quick work of small dinosaurs, and players

Berry Collector: They collect berries with incredible swiftness, and can defend you if you get into some trouble

They can throw you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I was in redwoods terrorbirds were chasing me and I saw this protector the terrobirds attacked him and he yeeted them and obliterated them one by one I was scared of him so ran I now love these guys they are the best I hope to tame if it the same one who saved me I will give him berries and nibbles everyday
