How can you even tame that i got onto a mountain and used 80 tranq darts and that wasn t enough and it had 80k hp

Don't be lazy, Just make 5 Metal Dino Gates, Place them in a Diamond like shape but don't place a gate on any side that the giga is standing, lure it into the trap, also make a large bear trap so it doesnt run away from the tap straight away, And now after the giga has been in large bear trap, place the last Dino Gate and Boom your giga is stuck forever(Gigas can't break metal), Knock it out it will most likely take you around 30 mins to tame it, but always Bring more Narcotics, maybe around 100-200, incase if your numbers were wrong, ( Always use a soothing balm (For Mobile Players), Once tamed don't make it jump for even slightly higher grounds because if it takes even like 3k damage, it's Rage Mode will become Active, It goes away in like 15 seconds tho, Always put all points in meelee because putting levels in other stats will be mod likely useless.

If you're lookin to tame a giga mobile or on pc,I recomend taming 140 or so on so no regrets when you look for their melee.

(extra tip for ASA)

look for them on the volcano they always spawn in the mouth.

1.place metal gate on the entrace of the volcano.

2.place giant bear trap.

3.lure the giga and let it stomp the trap.

4.corner it by placing another metal gate behind it.

5.then shoot it untill knock out then of course feed it.

6.then boom you have a giant meat eating Iguana.

They are somewhat common on fjordur, so it’s a great place to look for one. Lots of space for traps too.

To kock out the Giga all you need is 1000 people to kock it out

There is a spot near a ship wreck where on 5 of my fjord maps I know a spawn point for one on all but one of my deleted fjord maps one was there. It is the most likely spot to find one out of the three spawn spots for them. They also spawn around the volcano which is close by to the wreck and remember it is the ship wreck near the golden cliff. So you could find one hope this helps if you play fjorder.

I had tamed lvl 20 if you want to tame low level it will takes 150+ toxic arrows

If you have giga problems use a griffin they are the only flier that can allow you to equip weapons while riding so all you need to do is hover over it and tranq it from above I got a lvl 15 female with this tactic

Okay, I totally failed this giga tame. What did I do wrong?

Map: Extinction

Armor: Desert Cloth, backup fur armor just in case

Gear: ASCENDANT LONGNECK (there’s a spot near my base on CI where red drops spawn,) Shocking Tranq Darts (over 100,) Exceptional Kibble to tame.

Creature: Rock Drake, level 150, almost 14k health and around 1800 stam (I’m on singleplayer btw)

Target: Giga, lvl 16

It gets stuck on a cliff where nothing spawns and I start pounding in the darts. It starts to run? 🤔 Off the cliff and starts attacking everything. I get closer, and in less than a minute destroys 3/4 of my Drake’s health. I check it’s torpor (I’ve probably piled in over 30 darts) and it says: 2k out of 19k. I leave.

What should I do next time. Should I trap it (I know the trap,) or tame it on another map where it’s safer?

To the person who challenged me to tame a Giganotsaurus with fully imprinted parents. I imprinted it. I did it. Fully imprinted level 160 Giganotsaurus named Cali.

First you need 6 metal foundations, double door frames, triangle Sloped ceilings and two thatch foundations

Place one triangle foundation and continue with one side two thatch foundations and place the next triangle foundation and pick up the thatch foundations repeat this until you reach where you started the first triangle foundation after that place the six double doorframes (outer part) then place the triangle sloped ceilings facing towards the middle

Easy, and its antidirectional! Once the giga hops in it cannot get out!

Tame a low level female and a high level male if you have a cloning chamber because you can clone females for breeding cheap my level 360 male breeds with level 30 female clones

To find this creature you can either go to griffin mountain or go to the snow biome

And the fastest way to tame it is by getting 10x soothing balm or 15x soothing balm and like 7 pieces of prime meat or kibble and a bunch of biotoxins

Get four gateways and a large bear trap make a u shape with the metal gateways and place down one or two bear traps in the gates make shure a raptor or horse can get through Argo the Giga and lure into the bear trap with yourself Or a speedy mount put the 4th gateway behind him and shoot him use a good crossbow tranqs are a waste of resources and get lots of narcos you’ll need them.

Honestly catching and taming a giga is not as hard as everyone makes it out to be, if you have a trap its pretty easy, I tamed two gigas yesterday, the only hard thing for taming one is getting the materials/darts/narcs otherwise its easy peasy, I have more trouble trying to trap argies

I thought it was a Rex but it was a level 125 giga so me and my spino got destroyed

It doesn't attack your raptor tame...so take your raptor and surround it with metal (sign board) 4-5 at least !!
