There Eggs are simple Kibble..

Im fairly certain that you get more percentage towards taming based on the type of meat that the dino can produce when you harvest it. That is why it prefers dinos that can be harvested for things like mutton and prime meat.

If encumbered do not fast travel or you will still be slowed despite being empty the only way to stop being slow is to pick up the fjord hawk or die and you can’t always reach him

Also do not travel to a raft as he will put the bag in the water at least that happened to me

Fjordarhawks are not immune to radiation. They will die on your shoulder in the Rock Drake area.

You can throw them at bags and they will bring them to you

Level up health as much as possible. These guys will come back to your spawn point with all of your items if you get caught in a fight. They also have no weight limit so they are crazy good pack mules.

I found best way to tame these birds is get your normal tame to injure a larger Dino and then finish it off with your weapon but make sure your tame is on passive otherwise it eats it first hope this helps 👍

Sacrifice that ovis and let fjordhawk eat preatty easy to get instatame

Take a shotgun to bottom right of main island lots of brontos but u will need a few shells and careful dont hit your hawk your taming

Ovis level up health and kill it almost installment. Alot cheaper than taming a golem.

These are super useful they will instantly bring your stuff back when you die. (keep in mind I only used it on singleplayer I don’t know about multiplayer)

Use an ovis with all levels on health for better taming efectiveness

You must tame this creature when you die you instantly get your items back and it’s a shoulder pet so you can take it anywhere!

I think it would be different if you could tame it passively or steal an egg.

Cool idea for tameing

You can find these birds in forests or cliff side livening in nest when you encounter one it is passive unless you hurt them and when you find a female hawk it will come towards you like sino and ask for different items rather being sticks fiber cementing paste thatch and once givin will go towards its nest consign back every once in awhile and when you give it something it adds it to its nest different items adds different things like cementing paste adds a random grey pastey looking speck on nest thatch adds thatch looking things wood sticks fibers look like fiber and after the first tame it will be yours as in a passive able to check inventory tame like gachaclause and you have to feed it food every once in awhile eventually will lay an egg which you can take maybe 3 hours after partial tame and every 72 hours after first egg

This is just an ideas that I wish will be added since the last few free Dino’s had a really different tame method instead of passive or KO

This lil guy is a great companion taming

1)make sure it's following you and kill everything that's near you the bigger the better

2) that's basically all it's kinda lame that it's just like the carcha but it's still very useful

Ability

Can grab your stuff if you die this lil guy can die to so be careful, he can tell if the Dino is dead or near death so it's a great Dino 7/10 my opinion

Mine didn’t meet me at a sleeping bad today. Found it waiting next to my bag next to the basilisk what killed me.

Do not spawn near the barrier, or the hawk will die

Never spawn on reentry to a sleeping bag unless you have two down

You can send the hawk to your bag that’s overweight and then run it to wherever you need to go

Upon re-entry of the hawk, it will bring your stuff to wherever you are, not just to the bed.

These are solid tips. We learned the hard way…

Pretty sure they needed it a little bit, there is a little backpack icon on the right middle of the screen and after it retrieved my bag it turned red, it went down over a long period of time but it seemed to have related to the time of which the bag could be retrieved? I am not 100% on this, more testing needed
