I dont think it will retrieve items because once a creature gets out of distance it usually stops moving, which u can notice from wyverns on crystal

You should have your tamr follow you so it can come back with the fjordhawk

Cryo a good hp ovis and bring ovis to hawk and i forgot that but get bat for making elixir after that kill ovis and feed elixir to hawk do this process again until your hawk have been tamed

I think that we might have to sneak up then feed it and wait for it to be hungry again the best food for it would be fish or special kibble I use it all the time it tame in 1 or 2 or 3 times before tame it be 2 or 1 sometimes 3.

Maybe use the Fjordhawk to find rare trophy creatures

Or maybe high levels and use a ichthyornis to make someone drop there weapon then use Fjordhawk to grab it?

And I forgot,if u are in the Dovakhin tribe,don’t and never hit the chicken,the entire tribe will hunt u down and kill u

On xbox how do you access its inventory. It only shows the pick up option and the quick inventory button (x) does nothing. Holding y to see the setting options of the bird doesn't show access inventory either. No other dinos have this problem.

Has a problem retrieving Death Bags in water or other liquid-like substances (lava, etc.). Will fly off at top speed if attempted.

How to get infinite wyvern eggs:

1. Tame one of these guys

2. Put it on your shoulder

3. Steal a wyvern egg

4. Die to a wyvern

5. Wait for the fjordhawk to get your stuff back

6. You now have all your stuff back including the wyvern egg you stole

Wild ones are extremely annoying, they will take your stuff and despawn it all, and you cant kill them

Your loot is safe ish with one of these, if you die your Hawk will teleport to your spawn location and will drop your death cache next to you, they also allow you to see dino's HP and other death caches around you. Very useful if your on console without mods.

It bring your stuff back when you die!!A must tame for me.

They can actually fit through a doorframe, I have them fly through my outer door somewhat regularly, makes it easy to trap ones you like or don’t like to prevent mix ups when taming as you can use your base to trap the pester ones and kill them off easily as they tend to stick to walls or contents when inside. Or you can lure the one you like inside and kill the rest to use as bait to tame the one you want. Or you can let them in if you just like having them around I guess.

Through testing, the fjordhawk upon player pvp death will flee in the direction the player is looking upon expiry, it will have the players inventory during its 5 second flee. After such it will vanish and spawn back in with the player at the given local. If the bed is too tight of a fit, the hawk is forced into an area it can fit into bag in tow. It should be theorised pve is the same deal, nearing death face a safe flight direction for your hawk to escape.

Use an enclosed gatehouse trap and bring bodies to it it will land and close doors behind u

This guy is a CHAD- I was speeding along the volcano island (fjordur) on a maewing, zip into lava and… dead. I came back with a hawk in case, started bridging across in thatch. Thorny dragon comes along, eats corpses and dies, so I think that I can’t get my stuff- then along comes this guy, flys THROUGH the lava to get mine and my dead maewing’s stuff

There seems to be an error with Dododex's information, they can fit through double doors, hope this helps if you're ever gonna trap to tame a Fjordhawk!

Be careful when trying to kill things for it, if you are attacking something like a bronto or stego, and it hits it, the taming bar will be reset. Also, I definitely recommend useing elixir by the desmotus, helps a lot.

Get yourself a Ovis with high hp and slaughter it by the hawk you want.
