Byfar the best strat for getting maximum fertilizer, first get yourself a Phiomia and slot cap yourself with feces or as much as you want, next take off all of your armour, then set dung beetle to neutral, and victim item collection, unclaim beetle, hit it and then it will aggro to you as if it was wild, but still with the settings you left it on, let it kill you, it will collect all of your inventory of feces which can be hundreds instead of 12 or whatever it’s base weight is, this is called over capping and since you’ve slot capped it, it won’t be able to move! So set it to wandering and it will just sit in one spot while making you fertilizer! This is a passive tame do not knock it out dodo is wrong.

If you are a lower level and cant pick up a dung beetle with an argentavis then you can fly to skull head with a pteradon and tame it there. Once done you can have a player pick it up then the person with the pteradon pick up the person with the dung beetle

Best way I've found to get these are by having bug repellent on and using a gigantopithecus. Stack plenty of health and melee damage into one. Make sure you have sweet veggie cakes for instant chunk of healing and stimulant to keep awake.

The hardest creature to contain in ark, their the Whodeanie of Ark lmao.

If it gets aggressive you can knock it out and try again.

Go to South Cave (Hunter), cave tame a scorpion by shooting it with tranq arrows and feed it spoiled meat. Then you'll have a dino that does NOT draw ANY aggro from any creature. Makes taming even the Araneo super quick and easy

These things are surprisingly tanky! I had a 150 one i tame that i forgot on carnivore island beat a lvl 2 rex in a 1v1... named it neo after that, because it is a god among dung beetles

Correction to another one of my tips they only attack you if you attack them

In ark mobile at least you can kill one of these, take their implant, revive at a revival platform or an obelisk, bring it to your base and tame it safely. (These do attack you but don’t do a lot of damage)

Just get 2 toilets and place them facing each other and when u need to poop just hop back and forth way faster fertilizer than the dung beetle

STEP 7: Make pathways to the bottom of the cave to easily move dung beetles up STEP 8: make a 1x1 with a bed inside at the bottom of the cave STEP 9: make a pen to hold your dung beetles in STEP 10: Collect your 100 fertilizer an hour. (My tribe and I tamed 13 beetles today and that is what we have been getting to far)Hope this gives you a good method to getting dung beetles! Keep surviving!

What about massive poop???

The Dung Beettle is awesome and crucial for fertilizer production. Keep the beetle in the corner of the main area your tribe has the most traffic again. I have my beetle next to our fabricator and Smitty in the corner with the door frame to get in and out to keep it full of poop. As long as there's players around it it produces more fertilizer just like the tames when they drop eggs around more people.

Phomias are good to get poo for the beetle but after getting my first wyvern (electric), who i named Breakpoint, just fly around and use your breath attack and then land and wait a couple seconds.
