How I defeated the dragon with a stone pickaxe
Me and my friend decided to fight the dragon with 0 expectations of winning. We just wanted to see how much our dino army could take. After a while our dino’s started dying one by one. My friend died as well and at that point I was alone with my loyal yuti. I saw the dragon coming for us. It was low on hp but there was no way we were going to slay it before it would slay us. In total panic I accidentally used my reusable grapple (mod) on the dragon. One second later my Yuti died, but I was alive, still attached to the dragon. I didn’t know what to do but it’s hitbox couldn’t reach me while I was strapped to it’s belly. I started shooting the 20 stone arrows I had left but that wasn’t enough. So in the end I made a stone pickaxe (thanking god for having a messy inventory) and slashed away.
And that, my children, is the story of how I defeated the dragon using a stone pickaxe. It was terrifying.

Chapter 25b: The Bosses
Part 3/3: Doug
This is the penultimate part of the Section I Finale.
After the Argies were put in their cryopods, the group walked into the castle and sat at the table. “Well, one guardian left.” Red said. “What now?” Rod asked. “After we beat Doug, we will get everyone out to the area and get out all our Rexes and Theris that have the same stats as the ones we used. Then we’ll walk up to the volcano wth them, one by one, leading everyone up. Then we activate the tek cave. Now we should be able to beat the tek cave with everyone here, but only some people will come to the overseer arena. We do indeed know about some tribes at Scorched Earth that will help Sodden out with the whole thing. I think that Dorack should go with him.” Red said. “What!? Oh, my god. You mean I’m ascending with them?!” Dorack shouted in excitement. “Yes. We will also put the cryopods of some valuable tames you want to bring to Scorched Earth in the green obelisk terminal. I want one more person to go with them. And that’ll make 5.” Red said. Then someone walked into the castle. “Oh, let it be me. Uh, you say you’re leaving?” The person asked Red. “Uh, well, they are. They’re about to ascend off of this Ark.” Red said as he pointed to Sodden, Serenity, Rod, and Dorack. “Oh… those guys. Yeah, I know them. They’re the ones that did the caves and almost got us killed, right? By Nameless?” The person said. “Okay. So… you don’t wanna ascend with them?” Red said. “Wha… of course I don’t! Why would I even, ah, whatever. You’re wasting my time!” The person yelled. He stormed away before Red could finish talking. “How about you come with us?” Sodden asked Red. Red turned around quickly and stood up. “Me? Come with you? I’ve got a lot of stuff to do here, and I don’t know if it’d even be a good idea.” Red said. “Well, you’ve helped us a lot recently. It’d be good. You’re the only reason why I’m even still with you in the first place.” Sodden said. “True… a lot has happened since the whole Nameless battle. Well… I guess I could think about it. But I don’t want to waste any time here. You said you wanted to leave before sundown?” Red asked. “Yes.” Sodden said. Then Rod stood up just then. “Well, should we get ready?” He asked. “Cal and Tedan, and some of their friends, are setting up Theris right now. We will leave soon. The Dragon will not be easy. It is the strongest of the 3 Island Guardians. Killing this Dragon will mean we will have everything we need to do the tek cave. I have people in the kitchen making the soups that we need for the tek cave and the Overseer.” Red said. “That’s good. So what will we do?” Sodden said. “Well, you want to bring some creatures to Scorched Earth with you? But not just by holding them during ascension. The items, along with everything else, will just be transported to your closest respawn point, so that means it’ll all be in the base. But by using the Obelisk terminals, we can put the items in so that we can get them out when we transfer Arks. That way, you can get some creatures there. You can’t get creatures that don’t spawn on these Arks, so no Gigas. But we can bring raptors, since they spawn on every Ark that exists in the universe.” Red said. “That’s good. Now what?” Rod asked. “Well, we can go help set things up and get ready for the Dragon fight.” Sodden said. Rod and Serenity nodded, then the three, along with Dorack and Red, walked out of the castle to see that people had set out a group of 19 Theris. Each one had 100 veggie cakes in their inventory and ascendant saddles with 99 armor. The group then threw out some cryopods and some Rexes came out. Red walked up to the people near the Theris. “Okay. Heal the Rexes while we’re away. We’re gonna need them.” Red said. They nodded then walked to the Rexes. Then Sodden, Serenity, Rod, and Dorack walked to the Theris and put them all in some cryopods. Red then walked to the right and the others followed. Then they threw out their Argies and got on them. “Okay. Anything we need before we leave?” Red said, sitting on the front Argy. “Uh… not sure. A shotgun would be good to keep it busy on the ground and stop it from just flying around so much.” Sodden said. “Well, we do have a spare 489% damage shotgun that was a million times easier to make than the god shotgun. It can still do a few thousand damage so it might help out a lot.” Red said. He then got off and walked into the castle. Then a few minutes later, he walked out with a shotgun in his hands. He walked to Sodden and handed it to him. Sodden took it and put it in his bags, then Red got on his Argy and the group took off.
2 hours, 10 minutes before Ascension…
40 minutes until TEK CAVE!
The group arrived to the red obelisk after around 20 minutes of flying. The Argies were set down on the terminal podium, then the group got off of them and put the Argies in some cryopods. Then they walked to the terminal device. “Okay. This is the hardest guardian of the 3. Beating this guy will give us access to the Tek Cave. Then when we beat the Tek Cave, we can go to the Overseer arena. But we have to beat this guy first. And that will not be easy at all. He does a fire breath that literally rips through skin, but herbivores are 50% more resistant to it, so hence why we’re using Theris. Sodden will use the shotgun I gave him to shoot the Dragon and get him to come down. We have a decent amount of ammo, but not enough to kill it. When it lands, the Theris will start destroying it. The Yuty will help strengthen the Theris and stop the minions. And Sodden will use his shotgun to destroy the minions and handle getting the Dragon down. And hopefully that goes to plan, because the Dragon can easily destroy the Yuty with its fire breath. So just be careful.” Red said. The others nodded. Dorack walked up to the terminal and put the Dragon tributes in the inventory of the device. A screen popped up and the three difficulties showed up. Dorack put in the tributes along with the Artifact of the Cunning, Artifact of the Skylord, Artifact of the Immune, and Artifact of the Strong. Then he looked closely at the dark red button on it. The Alpha Dragon. Rod, Sodden, and Serenity started putting their Theris out of the cryopods and in a circle that surrounded the device. Then Sodden threw his Yuty in front of the Theris and got on him. The rest of the group got on some Theris. Dorack pressed the red button, and a warning popped up. “Warning. You are about to teleport to the Alpha Dragon, a extremely difficult boss. Make sure you’re prepared!” Dorack just clicked off and the transportation process began. “Teleporting to Alpha Dragon in 30 seconds.” “Okay, don’t forget. Similar to last time! Half the Theris to the front, other half to the back. I brought riot shields to protect us from the fire.” Red said. “Oh, really? That’s good!” Sodden said. “Why you not tell us?” Rod asked. Red took out some riot shields and tossed them to Sodden, Serenity, Rod, and Dorack, They prepared the shields over their heads as the terminal said, “Teleportation in 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1… Transportation initiated! No returning now!” Then an alarm went off and a bright red dome started appearing around the group. Then it started spinning around. There was lightning near the obelisk. It was the energy coming from it. The energy was creating the teleportation. And the dome spun faster, then faster and faster, until suddenly… WHOOSH! It collapsed and condensed everyone into a ball of light. Then it launched from the ground up through the obelisk. The ball sped up faster and faster until it left the obelisk’s roof, and then the Ark shortly after. The last pole the group had not yet went to had an arena that was really hot, with a lava river in it. That was where the Dragon was. The hardest guardian of them all. The STRONGEST guardian of them all.

The ball flew towards the pole, and thus the arena. The comet appeared as a streak flying across the sky, and many survivors could see it. Terad was looking up from his base, sitting near the top of his base and where the dome was. As if he could touch the ceiling from up there. “Good luck to you guys. And watch Rod. I still don’t like the looks of that guy.” Terad said, as he stood up and saluted them. This was it. The last guardian.
The ball entered the arena and hit the podium where the device was, then expanded. Everyone was returned to their normal forms. They sat around the arena, and looked up to see the Hot Mama Guardian flying around. It looked down and roared in anger. “Okay. Remember the plan. Shields up! Let’s go!” Red yelled. Then the Theris ran a few meters away from the podium and Sodden took out his shotgun. He then aimed it at the Dragon flying above them and pulled the trigger. It screeched and flew down. The group then held their riot shields as the dragon released its fire breath, it flowed across the army and hit some of the creatures, but they didn’t take a lot of damage. The resistance was really good on herbivores, but they couldn’t take too much damage. The Dragon flew up and some pteranodons started flying from it. Sodden reloaded his shotgun under his shield, then shot down the pteranodons. Then some dimorphodons came. “Ugh. These guys.” Sodden said. He then shot them down, but only twice before having to reload his shotgun again. He then shot down the last of the dimorphs, reloaded, then started shooting the Dragon. Then Rod decided to take out another shotgun and started shooting it too. Then soon, everyone was shooting shotguns at the Dragon. The Dragon was at 894K HP already. Some parts of its skin was being heavily broken down. The Dragon screeched in anguish and flew down. It landed then started roaring as it released another fire breath. Then the Theris, with the group holding their shields, ran at the Dragon and started attacking it. The fire breath was doing some damage to the Theris, but the survivors on the Theris were holding the attack back just fine. The Theris swung their claws at the Dragon’s legs, and the Dragon was trying to move. Then it roared and summoned some minions. Then the group started shooting down the minions. They were having to reload their shotguns a few times, and held their shields to protect themselves from the fire breath. Then they kept shooting their shotguns, and blood was pouring out of a small hole in the Dragon’s neck. The Dragon then roared in anger, released another fire breath, then took off. After they blocked it with the shields, the group reloaded their shotguns and started shooting the wings. The Dragon was very angry about the shotguns, and it roared again to summon more minions. The super good shotgun that Sodden had was penetrating some parts of the wings, so that’d do a lot of damage to the Dragon. Then it flew around constantly, and the group kept turning around. Then some minions attacked from behind, and Sodden had to shoot them down. As he pulled the trigger multiple times, the Dragon flew from behind quickly, gliding and roaring loudly as it released a large fire breath. Sodden quickly turned around, and was about to block the fire with his shield, then it went right over and hit his shoulder and went through the saddle, damaging it badly and causing the Yuty to screech in pain. The Dragon swooped up just then. Sodden looked around and saw a bruise on his shoulder and his flak armor partially damaged. The Yuty had lost some HP and had a hole in its back. Its saddle was damaged too. Dorack went up to him just then. “Dude. You okay?” Dorack said. “Yeah. Hopefully my Yuty stays alive through this.” Sodden said. Dorack nodded, then they saw the Dragon coming to land again, but this time, over the lava river. “Okay, that’s bad. Just use your shotguns!” Red yelled. The group kept shooting their shotguns at the Dragon, but they were running out of ammo. The Dragon was at half health, though. Each person had like 60 ammo left, only enough for 10 more rounds. The rest would have to be done with the Theris. The Dragon roared as it walked over the river and roared another fire breath, but this time a huge one. It wasn’t normal. It was around twice the size of a normal one, and was way more reddish-pink. The group put up their shields, but the fire then whooshed past everyone. The group was fine. They looked around. “Wow. Our shields took a lot of damage.” Red said. “Oh, no. So did our Theris. Look!!” Sodden yelled as he pointed to the creatures. They looked at their inventories. They had gone down from 40,000 HP to 10,000. The Yuty was on a whopping 400 HP!! “Oh, my god. We still have 400,000 HP to go!” Dorack yelled. “Wait. Look at the Dragon.” Sodden said as he pointed to it. The Dragon was just sitting there, but its eyes were closed and its head hung low. “It’s stunned. This is our chance to destroy it!” Serenity said. “Okay. Let’s do this. One last time.” Sodden said. The Yuty then let out a huge shriek and the Theris were energized. There was blood on their back and head, and their claws were broken. The Yuty had a crack in her head and a large rip in her back. There were scratches all over her body and open wounds on her leg. She let out one last screech, then collapsed, unconscious and losing HP quickly. Unless they could stop the wounds fast enough, they wouldn’t be able to save her. Red and Dorack hopped off the Theris while everyone else led the army to attack the stunned Guardian and shoot it with shotguns. Red took out some gauze pads and Dorack took out some bandages. They put the pads on the head and bandage rolls were wrapped around the leg of the Yuty. It had 320 HP left. And losing health at around 2.7 per second because of its bleeding. Sodden held down the pads to slow the bleeding just enough for her to start healing. Sodden took out his shotgun after he got Red to finish the stabilizing and used the last of his ammo to do more damage to the Dragon. Then after a few minutes, the Yuty had stopped losing health. And just in time, it had just hit 0.4 HP. No survivor would have a creature get that close to death most of the time. Sometimes, it happens. It stopped bleeding and its health started going up, but only by the thousandths. Still, it was better than it dying. It was too weak to be put in a cryopod, so that meant they would have to get a spare Yuty and leave it at the red obelisk until it got better. And after another two minutes, the Dragon suddenly shot its head up and let out a roar, then leaned back and crashed into the ground. Then… it happened.
“You killed a Dragon (Alpha)!”
JTAC had just survived the hardest boss in the Island.
“Yes! Let’s go!” Sodden yelled in excitement as he ran to the podium. Rod and Serenity got off their Theris, who had bandages on their claws and body, and walked to Red and Dorack. “Let’s go. That’s it.” Sodden said. “Yeah. Well, what about the Yuty?” Dorack asked. “Well, it’s too injured to bring back to base, so we just have to get some people to help it heal right here until it’s strong enough to be used again.” Sodden said. “Good idea.” Red said. Then a crate appeared on the podium right next to the device and Sodden turned around. Sodden walked to it and took out the Dragon trophy, along with 440 element. “Oh, my god. Imagine the tek we could make with that much element! We should start grinding bosses! You can actually do that, you just have to beat them all, wait like a day, then all bosses will reset. Either that, or someone ascends within that time, in which case it will reset the bosses instantly.” Red said. “That’s true. Okay. Let’s get the Theris in.” Sodden said. Rod and Serenity nodded then walked to the Theris. They put all of them in some cryopods, then walked back. Then the terminal device showed a countdown. “Returning to Ark in 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1… Transportation paused.” Then the dome appeared, but didn’t move. “Uh…” Sodden said. “It’s the Yuty.” Red said. “Well, can we just get it to walk in here?” Dorack said. Sodden ran to it. The Yuty whimpered weakly, breathing very badly and still very hurt. “Okay. Well, we need to go, so…” Sodden said. The Yuty tried to get up, and its legs were shaking as it limped towards it. Sodden threw out his raptor, got on it, and used the raptor to keep the Yuty stable. The raptor held the Yuty’s body, and stopped it from leaning. Then it got into the dome at last, and the dome started spinning. Reaper looked at Sodden and screeched. “Yeah. You did good.” Sodden said. The dome then collapsed and condensed everyone into a ball of energy. And that ball flew out of the arena and towards the red obelisk, then it flew faster through the center of the red obelisk until it hit the podium and expanded, and everyone was back to their normal forms. “Well, we just gotta get back.” Red said. “Yeah. I got some people to come and help the Yuty. There are people with all our Rexes and Theris ready to walk up to the tek cave. Let’s go join them.” Dorack said. “Well, okay.” Sodden said. Reaper whimpered in concern and Sodden looked at her. “Hey, don’t worry. I’ll put you in that terminal and I’ll get you in Scorched Earth. We’ll see each other again then. Okay?” Sodden said. He walked to the terminal and opened the inventory and went to Ark Transfer.. He put Reaper in a cryopod. “See you in Scorched Earth, buddy.” Sodden said and he put the cryopod to his chest, then put it in the inventory. He directed the route to Scorched Earth, and it would be estabilished soon. When he ascended, the cryopod would be transferred and it would be ready for when he got there. “Well, let’s go. Time to ascend.” Serenity said as he walked to Sodden. “Yes.” He said. He then looked up and let out a cheer of excitement. “Let’s get our Argies. Sundown is in 115 minutes.” Red said. Then the group threw out their Argies and got on them. Then the group took back off for Nudon for the final stretch. Sodden still wanted to visit his old base. On the way back, Sodden sent a message telling his tribe that he was visiting his old base one last time before he left, so he did that. Serenity came with him.
1 hour 40 minutes before Ascension…
The two arrived at the shore where Sodden’s old, ruined base sat. It used to be pretty cool, but since Nameless destroyed it, it wasn’t very good. “Wow. I can’t believe how far I’ve come.” Sodden said. And Serenity walked up to him. “And yet, we’ve got so much more.” Serenity said as she put her shoulder on Sodden’s. “Even when I first spawned, I didn’t really do much. I just collected resources, and spent too long thinking about my first base.” Sodden said. “Ha. And now, it’s time. Shall we go?” Serenity asked. “Yeah.” Sodden said. They walked back to their Argies and took back off for Nudon.
The creatures were ready to go!
The end was near…
I had a nice little high level army of dinos but as i dodge one of his good ol, fire balls it killed every single dino in one hit. So there I am unleashing hell on it for killing my lvl 207 carno along with the others that wouldnt stand a chance. So yea I tried to avenge my army but died a gruesome death.

She woke up, sand touching her back. A big, but small bird loomed in front of her. It resembled a dodo. She got up, groaning. She remembered not much from her old life, standing on her feet. “where the heck am I…” She would mumble, looking around her. The dodo was still there, cocking it’s head. The girl grabbed berries, feeding it to the lousy bird. It shook its feathers and munched on the berries. She looked behind her, gasping. A triceratops stomped its foot at her before walking away. She continued to look around before she started to walk, her feet covered in sand. The breeze blew, making it very cold. The dodo followed her, watching her every move. What looked like a small raptor, with a ring around his face hissed at her. It matched the description of a dilpsohouras. “Shoot..” She said, running away from it. The dilo gave up. The girl panted, noticing the dodo next to her. “Well hello there little bird.” She panted more. The girl got up again, figuring she would be stuck here for who knows how long. Her stomach grumbled. Her mouth became dry as well. Night came, bringing freezing gusts of wind. The dodo snuggled against the girl, also hoping for food. She got up on weary legs and took a sip of water from the ocean. She coughed, and looked for something to eat. A little group of compy’s started attacking the dodo, which the girl had secretly named Miko, and sent out a loud voice. The girl looked at the dodo, (surprised he was still there,) and started to shoo the compy’s away. They started biting at her though. “Ack!” Miko started to bite at the compy’s, killing one of them. The girl stomped on the other three. She brought them back to the sand, and started a fire. She had survived her first day, and started cooking the compy’s. ^^• Tell me if you like it by leaving a like! Next chapter will come tommorow!! If your asking why I put this on dragon, I dunno tbh!! •^^
Ok so, I was fighting the easy dragon for fun, and had to go eat dinner, so I left the game and when I came back it said The Dragon Has Been Tamed, and it came to me and a portal affect appeared, it then teleported me home and the dragon was tamed just sitting there, And I have had it for awhile now.
Sooooooooo…I raised three brontosaurus and put platform saddles on each one and they all had minigun turrets on them and I went to the dragon boss obolisc to kill it and I brought the brontosaurus with me and when I activated the teleporter I and went to the arena and they were not there R.I.P p.s never bring a Dino with a platform saddle as your only Dino

Chapter 20 ~taking to the skies~
The serpents decided to stay in the caves with their wounded leader so it was just nash and Skyla, which gave them the opportunity to fly high above the dangers of the jungle. “we have to get that herb, before it’s too late” Nahs said stating the obvious. “Problem is I don’t know where we are nothing looks familiar, so I guess we just keep going till we find a dinopithicus.” Skyla said. “Yea but where do we do that, maybe we could ask for directions.” Nash said. “NEVER ask for directions in the jungle, nobody can be trusted they’ll either kill you or steer you in the wrong direction just for fun.” Skyla said. “No species in the entire jungle can be trusted? Nobody? There’s gotta be someone.” Nash said. “Well.. I guess we could ask a quetzal, they are probably least likely to kill us being pacifists or whatever.” Skyla said. “Sounds good, where do we find a quetzal.” Nash said. “No idea, they’re all nomads, but being wimps in the jungle requires being in the sky and only sleeping in incredibly hidden places, so we need to find one before dark.” Skyla said. “Hmm, sounds like we should fly up and look around.” Nash said. They flew up higher and higher until they were just below the clouds, (this ark did in-fact have real clouds) they looked around them and saw nothing. “Where are they! You’d think it wouldn’t be hard to see a giant pterosaur..” Skyla said frustrated, Then Nash noticed a shadow going through a cloud in the distance, “wait look over there!” Nash exclaimed, they flew towards the shadow, flying closer and closer, Nash though he could make out the wingspan of a large pterosaur through the cloud but as they got closer (about 6-7 yards/meters) the shape distorted.. they could see now that the wings were not huge they were just moving really, really fast, they could also make out huge legs, and a small head then the creature made a sharp turn in their direction and flew at them so fast the clouds blew away from it, and they could clearly see.. a Rhyniognatha…

With one final swing, Bob had managed to chop down another tree with his trusty metal hatchet. He let out a sigh of relief, as he bent over to chop the tree down into small little bits.
“Just enough wood to finish my base up,” Bob muttered to himself.
Ever since Bob had been sent to the ARK by that evil, obsessed lunatic, the President, he had been planning his moves carefully and strategically. He knew that he needed to progress as fast as he could, as he didn’t know if the President would try to sabotage him if he grew too powerful. He couldn’t take that risk, and plus, he didn’t know how far the scholars that were placed on the Ark before him had progressed either. He didn’t know if they were still at the bottom of the food chain, struggling to survive against basic predators like Raptors or Dilophosaurus, or if they were already capable of creating metal tools. Either way, the faster Bob got his base built and started his hunt for taming beasts it would make the path to ascension easier.
“I hope the President didn’t mess with anything here on the Ark,” Bob thought as he collected the pieces of wood and began to haul stacks and stacks back to the construction site, “Otherwise, the knowledge I have may be outdated.”
One thing Bob knew for certain was that he had no implant. Bob knew that the President had altered the implants to be special gems that gave special abilities, rather than how they were in the original game. It made it harder for Bob to get started on his base, because without the implant he wasn’t able to craft anything of use. He had to travel around the area to collect blueprints and loot from beacons to give himself a head start, and even then it was still dangerous considering the area he was placed in.
Whatever. The more Bob thought about it, the harder the game would be. He needed to focus on building shelter, then going out to tame an Argentavis so that he could keep scouting the area for more beacons and potential settlements he might need to keep an eye out for.
“It won’t be hard whatsoever,” Bob thought, “But it sure is a lot more stressful when you’re in the game itself.”
As Bob returned back home, he dropped all of the wood onto the sand. Bob had decided to settle near the river he had arrived at, which was located close to the Redwood Forests, a hotspot for dinosaurs that would be useful for the future. He took out a blueprint for a ceiling made of stone, looked up at his stone base, and smirked.
“Good. We’re almost done here,” Bob said as he put the blueprint away.
The next hour he spent smashing stone, wood, and thatch together to create ceilings for his base. He had always remembered a saying that stuck to him whenever he played the original game, “Big bad dinosaurs can blow down straw and stick, but not brick.”
Bob just hoped it would apply here too.
But as Bob hauled the ceilings up onto his strong shoulders and attached them to the walls, he heard chatter outside of his house.
“Oooh, this house looks cool! I wonder who lives here,” a voice echoed outside the house.
“There’s no way. Someone’s out there,” Bob thought with a groan. He reached for his hide pockets and pulled out a bola. He took his torch out, and with a flicker the flame burst from the top.
Bob began to wind the bola up in the air, and then afterward he kicked the door open with his foot. He turned to the side, and quickly threw the bola at the unsuspecting scholar. The string and rocks tied around the boy’s limbs, and he let out a scream as he tripped and fell onto the sand. Bob ran forward to whack him with the torch, but the scholar yelled,
“Wait, wait, stop, stop! I didn’t mean to trespass!” he cried as he shielded his face, “I just, I was just scouting the area out, because someone ordered me to.”
Bob lowered his torch for a second, and after seeing his face his eyes widened.
“Agent Jackpot?” Bob asked with his mouth agape in shock.
“H-Huh? Who are you talking about? Who’s that?” the boy asked, confused and looking around for any potential ‘agents’. But Bob couldn’t believe it. The boy in front of him was quite literally, Agent Jackpot. The President’s most loyal messenger, someone who’d been through thick and thin to protect him. It didn’t make sense that he was here!
Bob began to walk around the scholar, inspecting him intently and looking at every single aspect of his body. He was still wearing cloth clothes still, and had literally no tools or weapons to his disposal. Plus, he was pretty big too. Giant, even. He looked to be at least seven feet tall, it was almost as if he was Goliath!
“You’re quite a big boy, what’s your name?” Bob asked the mysterious figure.
“A-Alan. My name is Alan,” the boy answered. He moved his hands to the back of his head as he lay on the ground, “But, now that you mention that name, I was called a jackpot. But in a different way. The football team called me the ‘Jackpot’ and the ‘Apex Predator’, because I was so tall and giant. The football coach really REALLY wanted me to be on the football team, b-but I don’t really like football so I didn’t join-”
“Hm. Okay. Well Alan, you don’t seem like a threat. What the heck are you doing all the way out here anyway?” Bob asked, “I’m all the way out here in the center of the island. No one dares tread inward where all dangerous beasts are with no weapons.”
“Some mean lady ordered me to go inland to find people, or else…” Alan replied, “Or else she’d beat me to a pulp!”
Alan sniffled a tear. Bob sighed and facepalmed.
“Come on, Alan. You’re like the tallest guy I know! No one can pick on you.”
“But, but you just did. You just had me tripping over nothing.”
“I’ll make you stronger, how about that?” Bob proposed, lending a hand to help Alan up, “I’ll take you in.”
Alan looked up at Bob reluctantly, but then eventually gave in and grabbed his hand. Bob helped him up, and Alan hugged him.
“Woah!” Bob shouted.
“Thank you, thank you!” Alan wept with joy, “Thank you so much! W-Who even are you? Are you a teacher or something at Terran High? You look so old. But, you know you look a little familiar, like I’ve seen you on television.”
Bob paused, and then nodded, a bit frustrated with that old comment.
“Yes. I was a coach at Terran High. I was the… tennis coach,” Bob said, “You can just call me, Bob. No formalities needed. I’m not a coach anymore, now that we’re here.”
“Oh, okay, well thank you so much Bob!” Alan said with tears in his eyes.
“Of course, of course.”
“So, so what will we do first?” Alan asked giddily, jumping around like a puppy, “What will you teach me?!”
Bob smirked at the sight. He had never seen someone so excited about being taught by him. It reminded him of the good old days, back when the original game came out, and beginners flocked for help…
“Well, let’s start with something easy,” Bob replied, “Taming a T-Rex!”
Honestly I can’t look at dragons and wyverns without thinking of the dragonet prophesy.
