I might be a bit crazy, but I feel that they're so useless, compared to other carnivores (mainly because, on mobile, I don't have the snif hability) ;

Way more difficult to tame one, because they're spawning in groups, so everything would agro on you, plus the fact they'd spawn around Rex's and on coldest area ever makes them pretty late tames, so the saddle point is just useless, even more, it just weaker he wolf (almost as good as raptor, with the jumped attack in less)

Due to it's size slightly bigger than smilodon's, it better to get the big cat on cave (and stats are really comparable, so with few breeding skills, you would easily get a sabertooth as strong as the wolf, even considering the hat)

Last point, I have to agree that the hat increase it resistance, on fights

But after few fights, you would need to repair the helmet, witch would consume a huge parts, in your ressources, the exact same ressources that you'd get the wolf to farm, while other tames would not get this inconvenient

So, considering all of this, sabertooth is by far better than wolf (great farmer for everything like hide, chitin, and keratin, but doesn't imply to repair the only protection it got

So doesn't wast the ressources farmed from fights

Smack these at level one. Instantly gives you 100 amber on mobile.

Doesn't require a saddle so it's an amazing early mount, find a low level one at first

These wolves are no laughing matter at all. When there is 4 high level and imprinted/mate boosted direwolves they hit as hard or harder than a high level rex alone! Easiest way I see taming it is using bear traps and at least a crossbow or longneck. You can also use bolas but it’s gonna be harder due to they can go out of it pretty quickly.

I hate these things so much. They eat unconscious body’s and tames unconscious bodies

Honestly i think it should have a weight reduction of at least 50% for pelt hide is ok its light hit pelt is soo heavy

My raptor was pined by a Alfa raptor and my dire wolf killed the raptor and killed it

I would definitely reccomend breeding these guys and trying to get some imprinting buffs. I did this and the resulting Dire Wolf has so much speed behind it that it breaks the game if he sprints.

Simple and easy to Tame, they are great for Hide and Chitin/Keratin. If high enough level, they can kill Alpha raptors and even alpha carnos.

These wolves are like the kings of land mounts on my old server I had one over 500% melee in a real online Xbox server they can easily take out alpha carnos when super breed

You can’t really bring Allos in the ice cave in mobile because there are no cryopods because I heard Allos are really good in that cave it’s the most difficult cave in the island but I recommend bringing direwolfs but it have to be imprinted one’s tame two high levels I say level 200 and up male and female and breed and imprint the babies I would say a pack of imprinted ones would be amazing in the cave just make sure to level on health and damage only if you on hard or brutal difficulty because many creatures in cave like bears,direwolfs,purlovia and yeti deals extremely high damage and spawn up to level 500 and up watch out of purlovia because they may stun your direwolf and kill you make sure to place sleeping bags in the cave or just a regular bed if you may die and get back to direwolfs quicker if you want a overkill pack keep on killing stuff that give many exp such as spinos etc or maybe just baby dinos if you have eggs I heard they give a lot of exp good luck up so other people can see👍❤️

I was bringing a lv 90 back for taming when i had to drop at redwiods and before i can pick it again it liloses to a bear. Went back and picked next alpha wolf i see and it is a 125. Tamed it and it is around 167 to 170 in level.

People keep talking about that they have no means of armor. They have natural damage reduction(when tamed) and pack leader (and rest of pack if howl buff is enabled) gets a reduction per pack member. (They can also be mate boosted)

I found a lvl 50 dire wolf and tamed him up with raw prime to lvl 83 and trust me they are super powerful and can easily take 2 carnos thx to there extremely high DPS.....upgrade health and stamina.
