Lots of damaged but little weight. On mobile (I’m not sure about pc or console) you can kill a direwolf from the cave and take its implant and revive it yawing amber and tame a high lv direwolf, because in the caves the enemy’s are higher lv so you can get like a lv 300 direwolf when you or playing with max lv 150

Dire wolves are OP, I have 9 and they are capable of killing gigas

Killed a level 80 carno and a level 25 raptor with this guy. Lost half of his health, but no doubt a great creature for combat and caves. Be sure to have some raw meat handy though, in case things get sticky. Also the gods of hide. Although Gigas are better, these guys are a lot easier to tame even though it too isn’t that easy. Be careful around a pack, and when you tame them, level health, weight, and damage.

Breed a pack and you'll melt through almost anything so fast that them not having a saddle won't matter

A lvl 1 has a 15 min torpor timer and it takes 15 minutes to tame with raw meat. Does that mean it will wake up before taming? It will take a few seconds to put the food in

I started with about 3 fires, and then took my female out to get more only came back with another male and after about a week I have at least 13 dire wolves they make up most of my tamed! Love them! I have some with split states and some with points only placed into one thing so I have speedy ones, melee ones, health ones and some that have points put into different places they are all over level 70 and my highest level one is about level 140. Tame a male and a female get breeding, mutating and be unstoppable. And also you can shoot off the back of them so they are perfect for taming if you put some in melee, a lot in health and a lot in speed!

If you are playing mobile and have several following you, good luck! The will get stuck in open fields. Follow distance doesn't matter. I've spent more time backtracking than fighting dinos as a pack

Their jump is really good. If you time your jumps perfectly as you hit the ground, you can do an even farther jump and go reallly fast, I call it bunny hopping. Good for escaping, but you won’t need to escape because a pack of wolves are almost unstoppable. They do a lot of damage if you do the pack howl!

Looking for a tame to escape situations fast, look no further. The dire wolf can litterally outrun almost anything. Mine outran an entire pack of Allosaurus with no sweat at all. An absolute must tame and packs a pretty good punch for exploring caves and not dying. Also does not require a saddle like the Sabertooth does.

The Dire Wolf is amazing once tamed, however, the best way to tame one is to kill it, then revive and tame it. Works very well, and they are better at hunting than an Allosaurus... Makes no sense.

Best tame ever for caving he is small agile good damage I tamed a level 1104 (lolused admin powers) it’s esey caving eny cave they also ar good defense if u need to get off to grab the thing just poot on aggressive and grab the thing u need hop back on and walk out in style

First tame one decent level male and female then breed them and get imprints and you’ve got the dream team.

These guys are amazing! They can kill anything around the same lvl besides a giga. They have amazing dps and can run attack as well. Very good all-round Dino.

These are great! They're pretty hard to tame because they usually have friends, and you can't KO all of them, but you don't need a saddle and they're super fast!

If you press crouch they will sit for a short while but believe me when I say it will fill your heart with joy every single time .

If u have a flak hemet,give it to them. Now ubhave both a shield and spear!
