I have tried to tame one forever, big tip get to high ground and kill the ones you don’t want and bola and frank the one/s you want! Just remember to bring raw meat or prime meat.

(official servers too) If you are gonna tame one, go to Ragnarok, they spawn at very high levels there, get 2 a male and female in 1 run then u should be fine, I got lvl 130 fem and 150 male, now I'm with my first baby wolf at lvl 206.

Pro tip:tame a ridiculously high level dire wolf in the ice cave

Don’t need a saddle for them after there tamed there just ridable

Best way to tame these is get it away from its pack (pref go for Alpha) when alone bola it and use slingshot(it may die) or tranqs(i used tranqs) or club(you could die or get it killed) or darts(never tried) some may end in death but anyways. When tranqed, make sure NOTHING is in the area in a 10 ft radius. Starve it for a minute or two (pretty sure it doesn’t require much narcotics.) make sure to get a good taming effect. When tamed put it somewhere safe until you request it (unless u have rg)

1. If you want a high level wolf kill the rest of the low level ones with a argy because you can pick up the pack and leave the high level without hurting it. Beware of yuty's and carnos and daedons.

2. You can bola it and knock it out with a club or tranq arrows, and darts. Feed narcotics to keep asleep, give it mutton and prime meat to tame faster.

3. Have a nice day with your new direwolf.

Step one: grab it with your argentavis or Quetzal.

Step two: bring it back to your taming den

Step three: shoot it from the outside

There you go. it is ready for tame.

If you are not 62, there are bolas, but it is risky since they travel in pack

Wolves don’t need a saddle so when you are taming just remember that once you finish taming it you can immediately ride it. Good tame fast give some levels on melee damage and stamina and you got a great 🐺.

You dont need a saddle for them. As soon as you tame them knock their weight up and you can ride them as soon as they wake up.

They are a bit hard to tame because they are always in a pack

Tame an argent, then build a taming pen out or doorframe and fence foundations. Fly to the arctic, pick one up while you tribe makes more pens, drop it in a pen, repeat!

They spawn in arctic region and yes you can bola them

Yes get wolf!! Theyre very good you need (breed + bola +tranq arrows dart any you should get your own pack and breed a lot

Go to the Cave of the Strong, kill a high level one, revive it, then tame it.

We need a aberrante dire Wolf.

Heres How to tame when they have the chance of the arrival

Bola them or use a carbonemys tô tank It while you tranq, If a karkinos can be used, use It for trapping and taming, If you need to escapes karks have a jump

If want to tame one easily

Fist tame a good level argy

Search wolf, they will be in pack

Make trap( 4 stone foundation and 8 stone gate or 7 wall + 1 gate) safe distance from the wolves pack..

Pick whichever wolf you want to tame, by your argy..

And put that wolf in the trap...

After that universal process knock by dart or tranq arrow.. and feed(prime meat or meat)...

Here the key is your "Argentavis"

In Scorched earth these things usually travel alone, pick them up with an Argentavis (In the mountains) and bring it to a medium pen you made. Use a crossbow (I have a Mastercraft one) with some tranq arrows, I brought 50, and just knock them out. It tries to run, so just hit the tail. Once it is knocked out, I fed it raw meat, but I recommend to use the preferred kibble, I was just beginning in there, though.

Uninteresting hints That May Be Helpful - So, just for those who are unaware, you find these massive doggos in the tundra area (snow place). Usually, you find ‘em in packs. Once I found a lone one though. If I had been playing on a server, I would have made a pun, you know, lone wolf. Quick hint for when that happens, DO NOT run forward and try punching it, you’ll usually find at least five baddies around it. Anywho, the pack situation, for the newer players, THE YELLOW ONE ISN’T TAMEABLE. I learned that the hard way 😞. Died at least 7 times. Another thing, these guys do team with raptors, sabres, the weird flying ant thing that calls itself a titan, titanoboas, rexes, Megalodon and so on. I actually had that entire list plus seven on my back once, believe me it was not fun.
