People keep talking about that they have no means of armor. They have natural damage reduction(when tamed) and pack leader (and rest of pack if howl buff is enabled) gets a reduction per pack member. (They can also be mate boosted)

I was bringing a lv 90 back for taming when i had to drop at redwiods and before i can pick it again it liloses to a bear. Went back and picked next alpha wolf i see and it is a 125. Tamed it and it is around 167 to 170 in level.

I found a lvl 50 dire wolf and tamed him up with raw prime to lvl 83 and trust me they are super powerful and can easily take 2 carnos thx to there extremely high DPS.....upgrade health and stamina.

Your tip

To tame a dire wolf the fastest and easiest way possible, you will want to have an Argentavis (preferably one with high stamina.) You then want to go to the edges of the North zone, so you don't freeze to death, and then find a dire wolf of the level you want. You then want to pick your chosen dire wolf up and carry it back to your base or an area suitable for knocking it out and taming it.

Be wary when approaching these powerful creatures. The Dire Wolf will easily make work of you and you tames, as they tend to spawn in groups, doing more damage as the group is larger in size. To fight make sure you are equipped with no less than chitin armor, and some sort of gun, as a bow will be essentially useless against a mate boosted one, and they ofte. Are mate boosted

It's really easy to tame all you need is 10 bolas and lots of tranqs especially if it's an high lvl find a pack of wolves kill the ones you don't want like the low lvl ones and bola the ones you want then tranq them feed them raw mutton or extraordinary kibble and prime meat. now you have your own dire wolf pack. I hope this helped alot.

When you want to tame it make sure you have a good bow.You’ll need tranq arrows and you bow find the one you want a hot it until it’s knocked out but if you scared to kill it and it’s at low health and it runs away it will pass out.Feed it raw meat or raw prime meat or the kibble it eats.when your looking for one have a trike or something that can absolutely kill everything. You can shoot the arrows of the trike that’s helpful so you don’t die.if it’s your first time being there there will be t-Rex’s and woolly rhinos and woolly mammoths sabertooth and a lot more so a least bring a trike.

If you want to tame one, make sure you have been prepared to die, only pros, and DON'T TAKE A PET WITH YOU IF YOU WANT THEM TO LIVE!!!! But if you do manage to find and tame them... please submit a tip on HOW?!?!?!? Also, don't try to tame one if you are just jealous that some godly people have a bunch. That is just small brain.

Okay here's how I did it,

First I hopped on my arge (if u low level, use a pretadon) then went over to snow biome, I found a pack near the ocean and picked up a wolf, obviously the pack started chasing me and my arge so I flew out to sea and all the wolves except for the one I was holding got eaten by a shark (I know it mean but I was desperate) then plopped it in my taming pen traqed it out with tranq darts, fed it all kinds of meat, waited, waited... BOOM got a dire wolf (her name is shadowclaw, yes I know egdy but she is black) this is mobile
