If u ever want to tame one u better bollar it or go up on a rock because when there’s one there’s tones and since they only spawn in the snow on the island they can be nearly impossible to tame and transport so good luck oh and I nearly for got its good to transport them away from the snow so you don’t freeze and don’t get killed by other creatures.

What I do if I see a pack of them I first kill all the wolves I don’t want to tame and then once there all dead I knock out the one I wanted then I get almost 100 knock out berrys just in case I need more and I ride it home happily ever after

If you find yourself taming a direwolf, you just made your life on ARK just that much easier, they are great at harvesting almost anything from bodies, make sure to get a pack of these to defend your base or to farm resources, a mate boosted pack is a very strong way to clear almost any Dino.

Always use the bola when taming it turns a very dangerous tame into a fairly easy one.if there is a pack you can attempt to lead one off by itself but only after the pack has killed everything and they start to spread out I have a pack of 11 wolves. Carry your pack of wolves via quetz to a safe location near the snow biome. Place on attack my target and victim collection. Drop mammoths and rhinos near them and bite the target. Yields tons of fur!

I don’t really like the winter biome because of its bs but we I went there I wanted a Mammoth and while taming it a pack of wolf ate it and I Tamed them all. Don’t know if this a win or a lose but all I say is they are great for caves, hunting, and traveling so I highly recommend to get one male and one female to Breed.

On mobile, go to snow cave, kill a few level 775 ones, revive them, tame them, and go back with a bred lvl 1000 wolf and breeze through snow cave.
