Before traping the direwolf you want

Kill off the other direwolfs that you don't want.

Surpisingly these guys can be found somewhat commonly in scorched earth with is weird because on the island they are only in the north zone

Easiest way to tame is to pick one up on an argie, take it to a trap you’ve built(a square stone trap with a ramp will work fine) and tranq arrow it until it’s asleep and feed it meat then wait for it to tame. I’ve got 6 now all named after characters from game of thrones.

Go on high ground so it can’t reach yuh use a cross bow with lots of tranq arrows I prop would recommend raw prime meat or raw mutton it would be a good way to tame it quicker and use narcotic so it won’t wake up and murder you✅

I tamed one lvl 6 and then I wanted to take it back home, as i goed back to my home i seed red wood biome so i said to myself: lets save(so if I die i will be able to just load that save file) it and try going there and tame something. Then i seed Carno running towards me, i mount my wolf and then i battled it, it was lvl 30 Carno, I thinked that i will be dead but my wolf didn't taked any damage from it. Wolfs are The best.

TIPP: when u being chased get in water for them to be passive (note that your whole body needs to be in the water for them to be passive)
