All these tips here tells you how to tame it... but what they fail to mention is the fact, you have to breed it on land, can’t move the egg and the baby HAVE to STAY IN THE WATER!! Don’t push the baby on land or it WILL EXPLODE!!!! I just watch my baby explode right before my eyes!!! Never have I seen a Dino exposed before!!!

Super easy tame. Knock out with and bow and trans. Feed it raw meat. Boom 💥 TAMED!

This baby don't need a saddle to ride and gives you oxygen while riding and also supplies you with a breath 🫁 or 2 under water.

✨ANNND another thing it is SUPER fast under water 💦

I waited like 20 minutes to tame one with raw meat. Listen to me! USE RAW FISH MEAT! Dododex needs to remove raw meat as a taming option. Could’ve saved me 30 minutes of life and I’d have Boomerang (Dilpo’s new name) sooner.

How to tame diplocaulus

Where to find:

Diplocaulus spawn in swaps but they are rare but many of them spawn in dungeons.

Taming details:

Diplocaulus are knockout tames and they eat meat

Problems:

Diplocaulus are always getting eaten by everything so if find one keep it safe also diplocaulus have low health so you might accidentally kill it

Abilities when tamed:

Diplocaulus can only be ridden underwater and they dont need saddles and when you ride it yoy wont loose oxygen but the diplocaulus will and diplocaulus are fast underwater

If you happen to ride by one of these on your kapro, you can pick it up and run off with it. I found one in the water near the swamp and took it to a safer place to tame it via my kaprosuchus. You can bola these as well if you happen to have one on you! Please 👍 to pass the word

They are skittish but not anywhere near faster than humans. They have low torpor and health, so tranq darts are recommended. Tamed like any carnivore, kibble is Archeopteryx. Can be found anywhere in and around the swamps.

On a 135, 13 crossbow shots DO have a chance of killing it.

Useful to supply oxygen to divers who do not have scuba gear at hand but very weak in battle.

The easiest way to tame is to pick it with your arge and put it far from water 🏋️‍♂️

They eat kibble differently from other dino.. normal dinos like rex or quetzal eat 1 kibble every 80 food but the diplocalus eats 1 kibble every 120 food.. you need to re-adjust and calculate it again

This creature is one of the few in which the other swamp dwellers have no allegiance to. I would recommend you to take and argentavis and fly the creature out of the swamp and tame it somewhere safer.

Fantastic utility Dino. You take oxygen from it passively while riding. The oxygen lasts a long time too; this combined with its speed means you can explore anywhere under water. That and it's a chitin machine ;)

Easiest to find in swamp by standing on the small islands inside. Watch out for Kapro as they'll literally sweep you off your feet <3 Pick up with ANY rideable bird and KO with only a few tranq darts in a safe area. They are fast and will run quickly. Simple kibble is best and very easy to obtain. Can only be ridden while in deep enough water where they are completely submerged. --AK

Literally the punching bag of the swamp, these poor things are always getting chased and eaten. It took me forever to get one that didn’t die immediately bc of other dino’s.

Diplo is a very fragile and slow creature that spawn in dangerous areas so I recommend you to

1.if you have a argy use it to carry the Diplo away so it doesn't get killed if you don't have a argy just approach it and make it run away from the dangerous area

2.torpor works like this you shoot the creature and for 8 seconds it's torpor will increase but after the 8 seconds it will instantly start to drain the reload on crossbow takes like 4 or 3 seconds I think so after reloading wait a lil and than shoot it

3.when you get it knocked out feed it meat t tame a narco berries to keep it knocked out (you can use anything but I like narco berries because of how quickly and easily they can be farmed)

4.YOU TAMES A DIPLOCAULUS CONGRATS🎉 🎉

Use this to kill trilobites.. it kills and collects in 1 hit collects pearls chitin and oil that way.. quite alot!

Just know when you breed you can’t get the imprint due to the “take oxygen” button that never goes away. I’m on PS5 maybe it’s better on PC?

I found it accidently after over swamp near green oblisk. It was attacked by terror bird, I tried to save it but it was dead before i reach it. All the scrco and bary stoped me. I was sad.

I flew multiple times arround the same area and oh boy found another one. I quickly grab it with ptera and took it to a safe area and tame it with prime meat. Enjoy infinte oxygen☺️
