Tips & Strategies

What are tips for dimorphodon? Tips and strategies for dimorphodon in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
If you have these guys with you do not, I repeat, do NOT, attack a stego or anky! I was once roaming around with my mini army and attacked an anky thinking I would win (since my army has taking down a theri AND pack of raptors). Worst mistake ever. One swing from the anky’s tail and three of my Dimorphs flew across the map.
R.I.P. Debby, Sprinkles, and Jaws
Try taming the ones that are alone, never attack a group, they are sky piranhas
You can bola them so shoot with tranq arrows and SLAP some meat on them you need a hand full of narctics as there torpor will go down fast have fun with your dimorphodon
Pair a pack of these with a bunch of dilos and you got yourself both land and air superior. You can also bring these with you when you’re riding your Pteranodon on exploration, they will save you and your Pteranodon’s ass when you need to land to regain stamina. They basically dilo but on the sky.
It is always a good plan to have a room of these. Even just having 3-5 is effective. They will fend off attackers brilliantly if you put the right stats and use them wisely!
Don’t aggro it in redwoods. DON’T AGGRO IT IN REDWOODS!
Terrifying in packs, I watched 4 technically 5 (he wasn’t doing much) kill a deinosuchus
Bola them when on they have landed. KO one with tranq arrow to the head and repeat to all nearby dimorphs. Select which ones you want to tane based on level and sex and kill the rest.
Easily the easiest tame in ARK.
I desided tame them.
15 minutes later I had 6.
player attacks one of them (rookie mistake💀💀)(new player behavior 💀💀💀💀💀)
This is just a tip for a general gameplay strat- not sure where to put general gamepkay stuff like this...sorry. Anyway, putting all your tames that stay at your base on Neutral is *the* way to do it. This way, they won't get into unnecessary fights, but if an arse of a dino decides to say an unwelcomed "Hello. It's me..." then they can at least defend them AND your base. Neutral puts your dinos on alert mode so that even if a wild dino starts attacking even your fence post, your dinos will whip into action and defend the base. Also, while out on tames, neutral mode allows your dino to protect itself and you while you throw it that damn kibble in a whirlwind of panick. *Literally* the best mode to be on at all times (of course, it'll work as well as per what lvl your dino friends are, but they'll still put up a valiant fight regardless!).
