What is a dilophosaur used for? dilophosaur battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
To the guy who said Dilophosaurus, “in real life,” could spit acid, there was no evidence that they spit acid or had frills. Those small Dilophosaurs/Jurrasic World’s Dilophosaurs were twice as small as the real life Dilophosaurus. The real life Dilophosaurus, living in the Jurrasic Period, could destroy a car. They just belive in Jurrasic World.
Taming a huge pack of these guys is a very good way to be able to take on bigger dinosaurs and is almost essential in singleplayer. An army of these guys can be a good replacement for people. Pair them with some other tames like the scorpion or a swarm of dimos (another overlooked but great tame) and you can dominate the whole island
Dilos are very easy to tame.
Bola them, hit them with a club or your fists and feed them raw meat and narcoberries.
Once they tame they are pretty good creatures to defend you or help you kill larger Dinos, since their spit attack can slow enemies down.
If you get a pack of decent level ones nothing except a Rex or a Giga will stand in your path.
The only downside is that you can’t ride them and they get stuck on rocks all the time, but overall they’re a great tame early on.
