Yo, tame four high levels, then use a Ptera to put them in the corners of your roof, set them to turret mode. Plant X for beginners. Have fun w your guard dogs, but make sure that they are 2 males 2 fem, so u can breed them if one dies.

Great first guard dog if you have something that needs protection this is probably the first on you will get to guard it

The way to escape their poison attack is to jump.

Mutate these and have them running around your base on aggresive, you know what happens next.

This little ditch has been a huge part of my Ark experience.

For beginners, this one is a very useful tame. I would suggest you to tame more than one of these. For instance, about two of these(tamed) were once able to kill 2 raptors(one of the raptor also recieved my spear for guidance).

I have 5 of them rn, guarding my base. These guys make a great team as a whole pack.

Extra tip:

If a dilo spits on you, hold up a torch and it wears off quicker. Do this if you don't wanna end up like Dr. Dodger

I don't really tame them but they can slow down other dino's

You should make something like this for def on your base

-you will first need a lot of Dino gates, ramps and pillars which are wood+

1 build the Dino gates around your base with ramps leading up there

2 tame a lot of dilos depending on the size of your base and put them on the Dino gates and set them to neutral/aggressive/attack target with range medium/high and make them not move

3 remove the ramps

4 make a outer wall again out of Dino gates and make sure they’re spread out

5 add some turtles or another tanky and easy tame Dino and put them in between the Dino gates

Boom! You have a cool and effective def

I have one and you know what he's not bad now I have my dilo buddy on my side

Raptor are your actual problem early game, cause there’s no way you can defeat them once they spot you first, have the dilo around can really save your life.

I had a group of five and they killed everything they saw

They are good if in groups like a few hundred

I have 4 silos 1 Pakey sources and 1 parasure I am a beginner thoe I can defeat carnoes and some other stuff git an army of these guys they are over powered thoe all my dinosaurs are under level 20😥

8 level 100 dilos can kill alpha rex, Blinds and glitches into hitbox. Do not recomend, but works! (Best of rex is distracted)

A must have for its eggs. I tamed a male a and 5 females because the egg laying rate is too low for the essential Doedicurus and Anklyo tames. A must have for kibble

Boost Melee damage and get a pack of 4-5 of them and use them as base guards

A handy, easily tamed predator. Particularly dangerous in packs.

The dilo is a great tame that leads to ankleos doedics and much more creatures to build and collect resources

Dilophosaur kibble is extremely helpful as it allows you to tame Doedic, Anklyo, and Pachy.

If you tame like 20 Dilophosaurus then you can kill 3 trikes so fast you barely get to see them. These are not at all worthless and are great hunters (when tamed). They also give you great protection. My dilos, which are under lvl 50 killed a low level Spino! I would recommend lots of these early to middle game.

Get a lystro and an army of dilos, you are now the dinosaur slayer
