How to tame a Dilo!

1. Craft a bola, unlocked at level 8.

2. find a dilophosaur, commonly found on beaches.

3. Hit it with a bola, then go behind it so it cant attack you nor spit at you.

4. Knock it out with tranq arrows, or if you dont have that, use your fists. (but dont kill it!)

5. Put about 10-20 pieces of raw or cooked meat in inventory.

6. It wont take long to tame, so there you go!

I very much recommend getting a lot of dilos. I have about 14 dilos, and they had enough melee damage to knock out a carnotaurus. Also the most important thing is leveling up melee damage!

Tame about 4 to 6 and you got a dilo army and a lot of meat

What is the quickest way to tame your creature

Try to tame a couple of these if you spawn in south zone and max out there melee and take them everywhere at the beginning because having an army is useful for raptors or spinos even if they don't kill them you still have time to get away from danger

When you are starting off, there actually pretty easy to kill. If you want to tame one, craft a club and knock it out, and it’s favorite food is meat. Do not get on a raft with any pets! That’s how I lost a bunch of mine. They kind of just... disappear.

When fighting and it stops move to the side because it’s going to shoot poison at you and when it shot use bat or fist to knock out and feed it raw meat.

How to tame a Dilo :o

Get some meat, You can get meat by killing anything. But considering you are taming an early game dino, just get meat from dilos, Compys, and dodos.

Now you are going to want some clubs, or you can use anything to knock it out like tranqs arrows or clubs. Preferably for when you are just starting you should get some clubs to knock it out. Your also going to need around 3-4 clubs in case they break.

Now you need to find yourself a Dilo. You can find these guys almost anywhere.

Now you have to tame the Dilo. Your going to want to knock it out with your clubs. But be careful because they are an annoying starting enemy to have to deal with. Once you knock it out. Feed it around 20 meat that you gathered from the dinos we talked about at the start.

Congrats! You have yourself a Dilo! You can use Dilos as a dino to protect you. But don’t get too attached. They will die really quickly.

How to tame a dilo method works for any platform

Step 1 kill anything that gives you meat

Step 2 craft a bat or just use your hands

Step 3 find one if their is more then one together try to wait for some to move away or spread out

Step 4 knock one out or more

Step 5 feed at least 10 meat

Step 6 wait for it to be tamed

Step 7 you now have a dilo

Don’t even waste a bola on this guy, just get hide armour (or better), some meat and a club, sneak up on it and club it until it’s knocked out, then feed it the meat and BOOM! New dilo P.S they get one shorted by spears. Upvöte if you found this helpful

Easy to tame plus they good weight carrier can help with fight other animal and have benificiel to slow them dow so good to get it in start

This Dino makes a great guard dog when your first starting out. I always tame at less three to begin with. They make great defense when you put then in your house plus they give you eggs for kibble. My tribe has like 20 of these gut now and we use them for breeding and as guard dog when we go offline

If you want to kill this it will only take 1 to 2 shots with stone arrows

If you want to tame the dilo it will take three shots with a sling shot
