Chapter 3: The Tamed Dodo
Selena gasped and clutched the shaggy Dodo, its breathing deep and peaceful. Then an idea struck her. Selena ran towards a nearby bush, cradling the Dodo in the nook of her arm, and reached out to grab some berries from its craggy branches. Only then did Selena notice the irregular hexagonal crystal embedded in her left hand. It was purple and shiny. As Selena brought it to her face to inspect, a hologram appeared in front of her. To the right, it showed a model of Selena standing idly, and to the left was dozens upon dozens of little boxes, the first of which was occupied by a small illustration of the crystal in her hand. A pop-up box appeared when she looked at it, reading “SPECIMEN IMPLANT”. Selena shoved her hand down instinctively, and the hologram disappeared. Taking some berries from the bush, Selena plucked one from her stash and put it in the Dodo’s mouth, gently grabbing its jaw and moving it up and down for the Dodo to chew. Suddenly, the Dodo’s eyes flicked open, but they no longer looked at Selena with sharp, pure fear, but now gazed upon her with a sort of admiration. It hopped up and nuzzled her hand. Now looking directly into the Dodo’s eyes, Selena saw another hologram pop up. This time, boxes were on both sides, and in between the two sections, there was a blank space with text reading “Dodo—Level 7”. Relieved that the Dodo was okay, Selena walked off, but the Dodo followed. Selena, who couldn’t ignore its cuteness, picked it up and turned around, only to face a large, feathered dinosaur, chirping and tapping its toe. With fear, Selena realised exactly what it was.

The Demonic Dilophosaur
Summer the Dodo was wandering through the forest. She squawked noisily, gazing at the beautiful trees. Suddenly, Summer heard a noise behind her. She spun on her claw to face the sound, but there was nothing there but bushes. Shrugging, she turned back around, but found herself face to face with two piercing green eyes. The Dilophosaur screeched, and an abnormal, blood-like spit flew out of its mouth. Summer screeched, and all was silent in the forest.
***
Summer struggled to wrench free of the Dilophosaur, who had pinned her down. The thing bit into Summer’s wing, and she screeched a horrible Dodo scream. The Dilophosaur tore off the wing in a clump of feathers and flesh and bone, and Summer’s squawk rose in pitch. Startled and annoyed by the sudden noise, the Dilophosaur spat its bloody concoction down Summer’s throat, and Summer began to choke, the acid burning her innards. Through the trees, Summer’s horrified son, Ringo, watched as his mother was decapitated by the monstrous Dilophosaur. This was no ordinary Dilophosaur, Ringo thought. Normal ones were nice. This one, however, was a ruthless killing machine who would stop at nothing to destroy anything—and anyone—in its way. From then on, Ringo vowed to avenge his fallen mother and kill the damned demonic Dilophosaur.
💥 You take it from there! I cannot type anymore, my wings are starting to hurt. It’s all you! Goodbye. 🦃
Rapter story: Chapter 1
I am hated by most animals. Why? I mean, who would want to be pounced on every time you try to walk in the woods? As normal, I was low on hunger. I wandered the beaches in need of a dodo. I didn't find a dodo, instead, I found a Dilophasaur. But, he was different. He had a name. Then a human ran Infront of me and started firing arrows at me. I tried to pounce but I was knocked out. When I woke I was inside a hut. A campfire, bed, a... A dodo! I licked my lips as I charged at the dodo but I stopped. Something inside of me was telling me that it was wrong to kill the dodo. I never felt like that in forever! Then, the human called me...

PLASTIC BAG: THE STORY OF HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Chapter one
( next chapter in Raptor.)
I woke up on a beach, the birds chirping in the trees. The sun was far too bright for my liking. I rolled over onto my belly and got up from the mossy ground. ‘ where am I?’ I thought. Out of curiosity I started to walk around, and I saw extraordinary things. Prehistoric creatures were filling the wilderness every where. I saw dilophosaur running around chasing dodos and huge long necks bathing their heads in the light above the treetops.
I started to think for a while on what to do. After all, I was basically fresh meat just sitting around waiting to be eaten. I walked over to a great big tree and started punching it for wood “ ow..” that tree hurt to punch. But really, anything hurt to punch. I gathered some stones on the ground as well and made my first tool. A hatchet. A true masterpiece. I gathered some food and made some clothes with the help of berry bushes and then I went off on my first adventure.
I had never seen a Dino up close before, so I decided to try and tame one. What a splendid idea.💡 I walked up to a small dodo and fed it some berries, and it seemed to like that. There were a few more dodos, so I decided to tame them too. ‘ I have an army!’ I thought with great discipline. Then a savage shriek erupted from the bushes… and there was a dilo! I braced for impact, but instead of leaping on me it spit a burning saliva on me. “ AAAAAAHHHHH” I was now running around like a fool.
I decided that if I could tame dodos, I could tame a tiny Dino about my size. So I ran up to it and started punching it. Thankfully, it worked! The Dino toppled over like janga blocks and went unconscious. ‘Um.’ I thought ‘ I don’t know what to feed it.’ I looked over at my little precious dodos, ( I had named them Bob, June, and big boy) and they looked back at me so trustingly. I took big boy behind a tree so the dodos wouldn’t have to see what I was about to do.
I killed the dodos, and it went limp in front of me. I felt very fondly of birds. And it was horrible what I did. I took the meat and put it in the dilo’s mouth and waited. Then it worked! Moments later it woke up and wagged it little tail and looked at me as lovingly as the dodos did. Those were my very first tames.
STORYTIME, (yay🥳) So, 1 or 2 years ago I used to breed dilos, I had 10-15, for some reason that I don’t remember (probably therezinhasaurus or a really strong pack of raptors) only 2 of them survived, General and his wife Rosa, they helped me a lot to kill raptor and random Dino’s that kept trying to invade my base, so they became really special to me, and now they are retired on herbivores island, in a secondary base (I only play on Single Player because I’m to scared to multiplayer) enjoying life with another special Dinos ou weak pets that I don’t want to lose, so please take care of your dilo, they may not be the best, but they are really nice pets and companies.
I personally have tamed almost 20 of these guys and my first army helped me fight a bronto that I accidentally punched (mobile) and anyways about half of them died R.I.P but the strongest survived and are now O.G.s and a started taming more, but I have named every single one and never reused a name, which means 40+ names but my five favorites in order are Selena, Hex, Rachel (daughter of hex and Selena), Hector, and Jena.
Hex was named after my first parsaur who was killed by a sarco so in memory of the first hex I raised an army starting with Hex the dilophosaur
Selena was found at a high level and has a whopping health of almost 700 (good for a noob like me)
Rachel is good stat wise (not as good as Selena) and is daughter of my 2 favorites
Hector was an OG that survived me killing the bronto
Jena accompied me into the cave during a pursuit helping kills spiders and scorpions (or whatever their names are) while I was passed out due to torpor, Jena also helped kill my first raptor, funny thing is I thought Jena was a boy so her first name was Gene but I found out she was not a he so she got her name changed to Jena.
Also my sixth favorite is lily, she is an OG almost as old as hex and is one of the ones that has been through the most.
More stories of my dilophosaur army? Yeah or nah?
In one save on the island I got this dilo, it was my first dino and I named them spitter, it saved from from another dilo and I was gonna take it home. It was dark and I was switching between starving and not starving because I only had berries (this was my first day) so I was panicking because I was dying while I can't see nothing and ran into the water, a Paraina killed me and I had to respawn obvi, and I was hoping Spitters hadn't died and I ran over to the spot and saw Spitters name, then at the corner of the screen I saw "Spitter (lvl 26) was killed by Paraina (lv12)" after The name disappeared
One Dilo Tamed=One Paraina Killed and multiple dinos saved
Once upon a time I joined Ark survival evolved. The first couple creatures I tamed were dilophosaur. Much to my dismay I realized they weren’t very strong. So I tamed more and more. Then bred them for mutations. Until I had a bunch of level 250+ all with melee and health stat buffed. While on gen 2 in the Rockwell garden just southwest of the reaper cave I saw a max level shadowmane. Well the shadowmane thought I was lunch but didn’t see my 20 dilos near me ready for lunch. That shadowmane didn’t live to tell the tale. Fast forward to ark ascended first two creatures I tamed were dilos. Only this time I didn’t go as crazy to get stats. Now they are just randomly roaming around the outside of my base on aggressive. It’s been almost a month and not a thing has threatened me outside my base. I only have two. Good boy. And Barbasol (from Jurassic park). We play fetch every day. Then we laugh together when he poops — seriously they laugh when they poop. It’s hilarious
~The Dilo Duo~
{A story inspired by a rather interesting Ark moment.}
One fateful night, the bright moon illuminated the sky. A female dilo watched nearby as it shone right at a male dilo in a clearing. His bright colors quickly caught her eye. To him, her eyes seemed to shine like crystal. A perfect reflection of beauty.
It was love at first sight.
They were a pair, the 2 Dilos. They teamed up to bite a Parasaur's ankles. To bully compies and spit in players' faces. They did everything together. They were nearly inseparable.
Until one night.
While the female settled down to drink at a small lake, the male ventured off to explore the new area they found. He discovered something strange. It was a little hut, where a Parasaur and a Raptor sat outside. No biting, no chasing. It was downright unnatural.
Confused and curious, he gets too close. Another Raptor emerges from the darkness with a player on top of it. But he doesn't even get to see it. His life could not even flash before his eyes.
Back with the female, hours pass. They've never been apart for so long. She goes searching, calling out to him. She runs along the beach back and forth, until she finally catches his scent. She runs, chasing the trail in excitement. She'll finally get to reunite with her mate! But then she notices... the scent leads to a pool of blood.
Her breath becomes shaky as she approaches her fallen mate, drenched in blood. If only it weren't his own. She stands over him, hoping that somehow he was alive... but his chest stayed still. Anger, sorrow, grief, and confusion overwhelm her. It hurt just to see him like this, but she stares anyway, not knowing how to move on. She refuses to move from his body, up until the same Raptor suddenly lunged at her.
But it wasn't the end. Instead, she wakes up, standing over her own body somehow. But that didn't matter, as she can see her mate standing in front of her.
The Dilo duo reunites again, setting their sights to the dark night sky illuminated by the moon, just like when they first met. They run up in the air in the direction of the moon, ascending right in the middle of the moonlight, heading towards the afterlife to spit on compies and bite Parasaur ankles once more.
The End.
Acid the Dilo part 23
“Awwwww” I said as I looked down at tiny Cobra. Her proud parents, Acid and Sniper, stood behind her. Cobra started to run off but Acid hissed at her and she came back. “It’s ok Acid. Let her go play. I want you to come somewhere with me.” I said. Acid nodded and began to follow me. We walked slowly across the “yard”. Side by side. We didn’t walk tentatively or continuously glace over out shoulders like we had in the past. No, we new we were safe. One of my moschops ran by followed be my otter Pebbles. I smiled at them as they played, not worrying about their safety. “What an adventure we’ve been on, right Acid?” I began. Acid looked over at me and nodded again, a suspicious look on her face. “We went from cowering in the dark under a rock together...” “Well you cowered. I stood watch” Acid interrupted. “Ehm. Acid just listen.” I replied slightly annoyed. “Fine, please continue.” She said with a sigh. I cleared my throat and continued “Any ways we went from cowering in the dark, to fighting massive Theris and Carnos. We have journeyed all around this area. We’ve had laughs and we’ve shead tears. We’ve made friends and lost loved ones.” Acid looked down at the ground sadly. We both thought of the same Dilo. “It’s been fun.” “What are you doing?!” She finally asked. “I’m making a dramatic heartfelt exit for our readers!” I said back. “You mean the stories ending!” She replied in disbelief. “Well it’s been going on for a while and I just thought...” “No!! I’m not done yet. The stories barely begun! What about the Arctic! What about caves, dungeons, and bosses! What about my daughter Cobra! I still want to do so much.” Acid exclaimed. “Well...” I trailed off. To be honest I wasn’t sure what to do next. I still felt like such a noob. And surely people were beginning to get bored of the same old story plot, I mess up and Acid rescues me. Then it came to me. At the end of a book the characters don’t disappear, they move on and continue, the end of a story isn’t the end of the characters, it’s just where the reader leaves them. And that’s what I’m asking you to do. Acid is still here. In your heart and in my ark world. But it is time for her to leave and continue to adventure with out you. So good bye dear reader. It’s been an adventure.
When I first started playing Ark on my Xbox, my dad wanted to play. He had just started and tamed a dilo named Pickle. Sadly, we spawned near the swamp on the beach to the east of the island, so when my dad logged off, he left Pickle nearby that swamp, and I came back to see her fighting a sarco. It didn’t end well. My dad was sad so I started playing Ark Mobile and tamed Pickle II-she is still alive today.
I got jumped by a Raptor when I was farming for materials(first ever encounter with one) and my dilo(Quicksilver) was quick to step in by spitting on the raptor and drawing its attention away from me to itself. I was still really low level at the time so all I could really do was run because the raptor was kind of a high level for me and my dilo, the last thing I saw was the raptor pinning my tame on the ground and I thought he was dead for sure and I had accepted it so I ran leaving him behind to fight the raptor. He was my first ever tame so I was kinda bummed out. Things went on normally, I leveled up here and there even went as far as having tamed like 4 dilos at this time but they all ended up dying. A couple days had passed and I was farming for materials when all of a sudden I get attacked by a raptor and I'm on the brink of death starving and dehydrated. The raptor jumps on top of me I think I'm done for but all of a sudden something pushes the raptor off of me and I look up to find Quicksilver fighting it and to my surprise he's level 120 all of a sudden. I used my bow and arrow to assist him but I couldn't get a shot in because they were behind the bushes half the time but he managed to kill the raptor with little to no help from me then when I was running to him full of happiness I get attacked by another raptor and it's a high level but Quicksilver steps in once again and kills it after a fearsome battle. The raptor even pounced on him and pinned him to the ground and they both fell of the little Cliffside next to us it was so cinematic. I was so shocked as to how a dilo was able to have two fights back to back with raptors and stil be alive with half of its health. He's chilling in my base rn and I treat him like a king 😂
