People say that they’re really dangerous early game especially in a small pack. I disagree. When I was just a beginner at ARK, I saw a pack of them and easily took the out. If you’re confident, you can easily take out a pack of them with a stone hatchet or even your fists. Just don’t get cocky!!! Getting cocky is the death of you in ARK!!! Especially against Dilos(and Raptors!!!). I cannot stress this enough!!!

Dilos are easy to tame. What you need is ebola and a club or slingshot. Okay first find a dilo, second off the Ebola at it, third off bash it with your club, Fourth off feed the dilo some meat. After that it should be tamed in 1 minute. It’s very easy and a fun for beginner players. The dilo is a good reward for such little price.

Use an ax and punches for K.O

Take a bunch of those bastards and they'll kill most other dinos

I once leveled up its melee damage to 300 and it was able to kill a spine easily

I saw a lvl 27 dilly it was black it had 338 hp I tamed it I kill the turtle dino with it

I have a pack of these and they wreck everything. I just tame all these by punching them

I tried it again and took down a pack of raptors because of my dilo turret defense again early to mid game turrets also they must be put on aggressive or they will not work

I am pretty sure these dilos are corrupt so I don’t think they are tameable

For those saying they are rideable they are not. They are too small to be ridden, there is no saddle for it. Only the tiny human mod allows you to ride it.

Level up until you get bola (lvl 9). Then craft few bolas and slingshot, collect some rocks. Bola is easy to use and catches em pretty well. Then use sligshot and shoot few rocks until they faint. Remember to pick up the bola quick for re-use! Easiest way to get an army of these! :)

Because of how common they are the can be a problem early game but if you get a few spears early on the shouldn’t be to much of a problem

Ya so I had this guy as a pet, his name was Steve, and I lost him one day but my brother told me how I could request him today. Anyway this guy comes back and I’m astonished he survived the raptors and everything, but he WONT follow me! No matter what I do! Has anyone else had this problem? Up if yes, down if no.
