These guys are almost everywhere! Don’t leave a low health tame on its own and on passive when you go and do whatever because when you come back it will probably have been eaten by dilos. Unfortunately I am speaking from experience. RIP Aragorn the equus

Easy tame for beginners. I recommend taming at least 2 or 3 at a time and making a mini-army. A pack of tamed dilos can help fend off beginner threats like raptors.

I tamed one in the forest kills: Coelecanth and Dilophosaur (it's own kind.)

Use fists or tranq arrows to knock them out and put meat in inventory they tame pretty fast so you don’t need any narcotics

This tip is for starter players (or when you are replaying the game and are just about 2-10 levels in).

Dilos have a poison attack that blinds and decreases a small amount of health for a short time, it would be wise to avoid this as it gives the dilo an advantage or another aggressive Dino (lookin at you Carnos). So when you see it stop to attack you should jump/strafe (jump to the side). You can also time the seconds between their spit attack. I’m conclusion wait for spit, dodge the spit, and then go ham on these MFs 😂

Fun fact my old dilo named venom deiced to save me from a T-rex so they will attack anything from smaller then them to larger then them UwU

Be cautious because I have seen 3 of these guys kill 2 rexes

you can block their spit by hitting them and not stopping that will block them from spitting

Attack and dodge it Dilo's attack aren't dangerous but the acid is so dodge incoming acids. Sometimes Dilos live alongside compy so be careful

Just a tip, Dilophosaur shoots out venom and really good for hunting down creatures. You should have a crafting of these, really useful.

I don’t recommend fighting this unless you have a spear or it’s a low level

Just use a catapult and shoot it three times and it will be knocked out then feed it 3-4 raw meat and 1-2 narcoberries and you’ve got yourself a trusty companion
