Usually I use two arrows (normal) and them hit him with my fist DONT USE THREE ARROWS UNLESS ITS A LEVEL 50 LIKE MINE IT WILL DESTROY THE DILOPHOSAUR

To be honest,theyre good if they have high level meele damage,speed and weight(if ecumbered)i suggest its not just for begginers, I had two and they freaking killed a trike!Now i had 8 and lost 1 her name was Azula.Well before i died i had 4 dilos and alec the para.when i entered the forest and a raptor attacked me.They quickly attacked it!Plus its ability to spit venom that slows you down and makes youre vision.Have a pack of 100 dilos and they have level 800 or more and you can take down a therizino.Good Luck if you want to do that! :)

Tame a lot for good kibble and powerful pack dinos

The best way to tame a dilo early game is to weave about so it can not hit you with its spit attack, just after it spits at you run in and start trying to knock it out ( punching works if there is no alternative) repeat this proses every ten seconds to avoid the spit . On a final note choose which dilo to attack carefully because you can easily be swarmed if there are any other dilos in the area

A trance arrow puts them to sleep.

Put a cage down ,open it, and get on top. Then shoot a dilo until it is in then shut. Knock out or kill it. 40 meat is good for taming.

I named my dillosaurs Toxic then I putted it on wandering and its on aggresive stance now its going to be hunting allot😗😗😗😗

If you tame one and level it up enough it will work as a discount raptor, very good for new players

These guys are everywhere, and they are also a massive pain in the butt because you can't land and regen stam without worring about being blinded and being killed, best way to take them out is landing and attacking them that way.

If you just spawned in you probably see dilophosaur.But they do make great tames for beginners.It was one of my first tames and if you get a good level it will not be a waste of your time.I usually nock them out with my fist just because it’s easy.And the only thing you need is raw meat.

How to tame

1: scout around your base to find a dilo.

2: go to your base and get atleast 3 wooden clubs, you will need extra.

3: attack the dilo with the club until it’s unconscious.

4: feed the dilo raw meat, I recommend bring atleast 10 raw meat.

5: once your tame has woken up, name it and enjoy your tame!
