What I usually do is lead them on a pteranodon to something nearby and snatch the egg.

Take a high level Argy with a high melee attack. Locate a nest and use the Argy to wipe out the Deinos. Mark the location on your map so you can farm the nests for eggs after they respawn. You will get 1-2 eggs each time

I would recommend having two pteranodons, one to distract the raptors, and one to snatch the egg. Because they don’t climb in the wild, you can basically easily get away with the eggs without being latched

Super easy to steal an egg with low level pteranodon! Just be carefully to watch around you when dismounting and grabbing the eggs, you will most likely get one hit, but once you are back on your bird you are safe. It wont jump and grab your bird. Neste are find in the bottom right corner of the map.

These creatures are not knock out tames instead you have to steal their eggs like wyverns their nests are located on ragnorock chalk hills

I have the best tip for stealing egg! There is always 2 nest (I found this spot by myself) after you have a female and a male bread them!(I don’t tell the spot send me a message on Xbox to know the spot! My username is: dudefurie

To tame these guys, you need to steal their fertilised eggs from their nests and raise the young (just like the Rock Drake and Wyvern), unlike just knocking them out. This makes it a bit more of a challenge and I would advise you to be careful while taking the eggs as the Deinonychus is very territorial. Hope this helps :)
