It’s fast and can glide a little. It can attack itself to medium to large creatures and inflict bleed. It can also climb things it also can’t be normally tamed you have to steal its eggs. In conclusion it’s pretty epic

It doesn’t actually take 9-10 standing torches I just tried it and I had to have 13 standing torches if I could show a picture I would ⬆️

To Raise- (on official vanilla servers)

This new guy is pretty much like a raptor. There are 4 imprints 8 hour apart from each other. The egg incubation is 5 hours (like a Wyv). The baby stage is roughly 4 hours and the baby will be a Juvy at 10% (like any normal baby). Be careful though if hatching low level guys as they eat 3 meat per sitting so they go through it fast, and if leaving overnight there is a chance of starvation. Mine was a 140 and it’s food value is 3800. We hatched them Sunday morning at 10:30am (Juvy by 2:30pm) and my final Imprint is Monday evening at 6:30. He is now an Adolecent. Saddles unlock at lvl 32. Hopefully this helps you all because we had to test it in order to get the proper information. (R.I.P Lvl 100). GoodLuck !

These puppy’s are always fun to encounter because they are adorably terrifying. They have many abilities which make it an absolute MUST have to own. *slaps hood* these bad boys can go for miles!

These guys are idiots. Many of them spawn on clifftops. Just bring in a flyer (Argies or Pteranadons will do just fine) and take a swipe at them. They will all zero in on you instantly. Kite them right off a cliff. Do a smug slow-walk as you claim the eggs in complete safety.

For hatching these, I recommend you use 13 - 15 standing torches. If you do not use this amount, they will be “too cold”. These guys r gods at pvp and pve and you can get soo many eggs that they will soon be disposable. I highly recommend these creatures to you and their saddles is learnt at a low level. I just got my first egg (level 30) and I got triplets. I used 4 stone fireplaces to keep the egg warm.

Need a Minimum of 16 torches to hatch this egg. You can not tame, must find the nest and collect egg.

Dont use low level pteranodon I've seen it

Aight ya'll want a deinonychus on day 1? Spawn chalk hills zone 1, and there is a ravine right next to spawn. Go to the end of the ravine to find the ramp that leads into the ravine, and there will be 2 deinon nests. Snag an egg and run. Hold onto the egg until you can make 3 standing torches. Hatch the egg and feed the baby. Now you have a hunting companion that you will be able to ride upon reaching level 32. With your newfound mount, you can effortlessly steal more eggs whenever you please.

Deinonychus eggs can only be gotten like the rock Drake or wyverns, you just steal a fertilized egg from their nest. Normally I would use a snow owl to freeze it while my tribe mate grabs the eggs. Or you can have a gun and a dinosaur with good melee. (The gun to shoot it if it latches on your mount). And kill them and grab the eggs.

In genesis 2, on alpha, the mission “survive the ark” has them, they have stats, but no model, just a really small hitbox. I found out when my VR karkinos killed one.

Their nests are usually unguarded,use that time to get them!

You can only tame these by getting them from the nests. Personally, I've had worries since the eggs weren't spawning and I just kept finding empty nests (I play singleplayer), but don't worry, guys. Your game isn't broken. The world/save/whatever-you-wanna-call-it takes an hour or two to start spawning the eggs in the nests.
