This isn’t a tip but still there better than raptors I really suggest you use them I’m still in the low level area so I can’t take one but I assure you it will be worth it. How you may ask 1.climbs,2. Latches on to creatures. It’s super good for exploring and killing if you have a high level, pack

If you see a pack of them near a good level egg don't go for it unless you got good tames because they will tear you apart

Guys the best thing to do is get a flyer and use a whip to get your egg 🥚

These are amazing and killing alpha creatures beachside of their bleed effect, a high level can solo kill an alpha raptor or a low lv alpha carno, and with the alpha Rex you can jump on their hind legs and bite them without being hit by the Rex, I’ve killed over 10 alpha Rex’s with these things.

I like to get a bunch of low level deinonychus to make an egg farm. I know a lot of people probably do this but some don’t. Just saying to skip on a low level eggs when hatching because they make really good kibble and why waist your high levels for that.

These are auctally not that hard to get eggs from if you have a flyer because they are pretty much always fighting something making it very easy to steal their egg’s although I have had bad luck with finding good levels

This is 2 ways to gather eggs efficiently.

1) You need a tribe mate to help with this one and 2 fliers. I would use some decent argy’s with stamina and health. Your tribe mate will fly over the nest low to the floor and agro the deinonychus and fly away slowly. They will keep the agro and leave the nest but try not to get hit their bleed does 10% of your health. Once clear you will fly down grab the eggs and fly away while informing your tribe mate that they can loose agro.

2) This one is a bit more difficult but it’s good for when you’re solo. You need a good flier who can carry a tanky dino. For the flier I would use an argy and the tank would be an anky. You fly over the nest and gather the agro and then fly away while carrying your tank. You lead the deinonychus away and drop the tank so they start eating it. You then quickly fly back to the nest to get the egg and fly away. If your tank is still alive you can try pick it up but be careful if your hot they do 10% of your health. Your tank should have some decent health to give you time as when it dies the deinonychus will return to the nest to kill you in short time.

Tame a high level Raptor or something small in size so they can’t latch on to you, kill the group and raid the nests. Unlike Wyverns, looting the egg doesn’t spawn more and force aggro onto you, so it’s probably the easiest tame in the entire game with a single decent level dinosaur

I will prove my theory a GAME THEORY so I will try meeting one

I have noticed that unlike wyverns and rock drakes deins won’t come after you when you steal their eggs. They will only attack if you get close.

If there’s a nest on a cliff on fjordor then lead them off the cliff and grab the egg

Use a oviraptor or whatever it is called and a pt pick up the oviraptor and let the oviraptor take the egg the oviraptor will take the egg without Dino’s knowing

It‘s like a smaller Version of the rockdrake, can climb structures and glide away

If you get to close to one( on a flyer) it well jump on you and gash you

#1. Ride your flying mount and scout for deinos nests at chalk zone biome.

#2. Stop at high ground and wait for the parent deinos to chase something away from nest. Or use your Argentavis to carry and drop nearby Ankylo or Doedicurus as a bait to distract the guarding deinos. (Be smart! Wait for the perfect opportunity to do step #3)

#3. Approach the egg using your flying mount quickly!

#4. Jump out near the egg -> TAKE THE EGG QUICKLY -> jump in and fly away ASAP! (This must be done in less than 5sec!)

#5. Make a 4x4 thatch/any foundation with closed wall, roof and a door entrance.

#6. Place 10 standing torches inside. (Add more if the egg says "too cold")

#7. Drop the egg/s then light up the torches.

#8. Wait for the incubation to reach 0%.

*These steps are meant for beginners or first timers on snatching and hatching Deinonychus egg @ VALGUERO map. Good luck!

If you want to really use it's abilities, put a lot of points in stamina because even just sitting on a wall drains stamina a lot
