Tips & Strategies

What are tips for deinonychus? Tips and strategies for deinonychus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Have an awful stamina statistics. Lewel up stamina.
This thing was originally going to be a lot stronger, but classic Wildcard made it into a child class of the raptor so it shares the health stat of the raptor, which is about 200 health less than its intended health stat. They also broke its climbing ability ever since Lost Island released. If you play pc ASE, the Kraken’s Better Dinos mod solves these issues rather nicely, but it’s still a shame it’s less good than intended.
There not just in chalk hills there all over the map near swamp bio and forest bio.Theres is even a camp near green spire.
If you’re new-ish you probably have a raptor used for traveling. But DO NOT try to fight these things with a raptor they are faster they stack bleed and they are faster than a raptor.if you want to escape try to run past other wild Dino’s to get them to get angry at the wild Dino your running past then when they leave you alone get the hell out of there... FAST!!!
Found a ton in the southeast part of the map. They travel in packs and apply a bleed when they attack. The nests aren't too hard to spot but the eggs are small; they give off an orange aura like other fertilized eggs.
Don't fly nearby these things they will destroy a wyvern in seconds...
Best is to wait for the adult Deinos to go away and snatch it with a fly Dino if they hit you completely destroy them erase this species of valguero
Best way ton het their eggs is to jus sit in a pteranodon and make them fillow you tegen fly of a vliff and they Will just jump off.
Tegen you van grab all tje eggs without any atacking you.
In got like 20 eggs in online about 30mins
Getting eggs for these on Valguero super easy for low levels:
Step 1: spawn in the chalk hills area near the end of the lake and there should be an abundance of lymantria
Step 2: speed run a lymantria saddle and then easily tame a lymantria with a bola and a bow(no crossbow needed)
Step 3: distract the deinonychus when you find a nest, lure them away and use the fart attack on lymantria, quickly hurry back to the nest and steal the egg, you must be very quick, even though the Lymantria can slow down the deinonychus
Step 4: hatch all the eggs, use about 15 standing torches lined up like this in rows of 5: _

Step 5: breed these for health, stamina, weight, and melee as these are the most important stats for deinonychus
Step 6: make packs of 5 and go kill pretty much anything with them, they can easily kill tamed gigas if mutated and they are also great as an all-around mount for PVE and PVP, they are insanely fast travelers, can be boss killers, are are overall super useful because of their fall damage negation, high attack, bleed damage, fast speed, charge jump, and somewhat of a climb ability.
and if u want to get an egg on foot then grind on ur speed a ton cuz these guys are FAST!
If your egg is spoiling you should put more standing torches down, the number of standing torches varies depending on the climate of the area. Usually you will need about 11 to 12 torches. Good luck!
From What i tested takes about 20 standing torches to hatch and takes as long as a wyvern. There are a decent amount of nests rear the ruins in the white cliffs.
