How do I kill a cnidaria? cnidaria battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
My way to farm those zappy boy is use Sarco, get into crossbow range then dismount Sarco while in surface of the water. If you not moving, you would likely stand on top of your crocodile to shoot those Jellyfish.
Stab them with a spear until you and the the guy next door and then that one guy all the way in a desert die
( you might kill it but yet again you will most likely get paralyzed and die)
Well I went on my icthy with my friend who said that nothing attacked them except for the squid things and maybe the plesiosaur. But I was swimming down and ran into a group of cnidera but thy didn’t go after me. I’m not sure if it was a glitch because before they did go after me on my icthy. I hope this helped.
When you see these douchebags, get the fk out of there! Lost a level 89 mega due to a school of these things
Suddenly received three “Your Dodo Lv 6 (Dodo) was killed by a Cnidaria!” messages at the same time. Had no idea what that was, looked it up, and just whispered “biiiitch”
Not sure if it’s bugged, but do not go in the water without having your Dino on neutral, also having it on follow is handy so that every time you get shocked and get kicked off your mount it takes a second but then it kills the jelly’s and comes back to you. I’ve tried with a Spino, Megalosaurus, and A Rex!
Adventure log: Cnidaria aka death jellyfish is an annoying invertebrate that can be also classified in the category of (should be out of the game). They can cause big problems even though they seem small and don't do lots of damage, ad these are all things underwater explorers need to look out for. In the ISLAND, they spawn in all of the waters sourounding the island and between west zone 1 and South zone 1. What we all don't know is how do they get in groups? Normall jellyfish are usually apart from a each other. We may never find out
Try to kill them from a distance or you’ll be in for a treat.
What I don’t get is how a jellyfish is the bane of our existence
I hate this |=(
this creature it’s so dumb I wish it would die and go to hell
Never go into these guys no matter how good of armor you have they will kill you
I hate these. Either use range or use a pelagornis and fly a bit above the water and bc it’s fish damage boost counts for cnidara it kills easily. If you see them glitch-fly to it don’t panic it happened to me and they just die from air.
I had a lvl 264 Barry I was goin to do a cave when a jelly fish killed my Barry I had 3 hp R.I.P giga chad we will miss you bro…
STAY AWAY
Also shotguns are best for killing these mf
So I tamed a lvl 145 tough plesiosaur had it for 24 hours to be exact . Go hunting for basilo blubber . Get off for 5 seconds to collect blubber turn around & there’s a shock party disco show going on behind me . I got behind my plesio made him attack “no attacks came out” so I pumped meat quickly “nope” RIP :( can’t have anything good in ark . Really don’t see the point of these jellyfish holding as much power as the Infinity Gauntlet. Do they want us to rage quick ark or ??? But yea … TAKE A DECENT CROSS BOW AT ALL TIMES IN WATER or CRYO A BASILO !!!
If you see them in the water, always go deal with them first...otherwise you choose the path of pain...
If you didn't deal with them first, they can stun you and/or your tame...
If you have good weaponry, you can fight them head-on to protect your tame...
If you turned and ran to shore and your tame died, you've only got yourself to blame...
One survivor lv20 or above with a long reach weapon is enough to take care of a thousand of these "overpowered" creatures. They get stuck in shallows easily and u can poke a lv200 to death with nothing but a primitive spear (if it doesn't break) They have an impossible to miss appearance which is actually farther than its aggro range. Slow swim speed means even a survivor with no speed upgrade can get across any river or channel on the island without getting stung once, at least on mobile. (Tames might get stung in which case run back to them and help them as quickly as u can, a high quality sword or pike can take care of most cnidarias in seconds)
How are these even herbivores and “passive”
These guys are heartless (quite literally) bastards who will kill every dino you have and then stay there waiting for you to jump in the water to get your stuff back
I think the ark devs should nerf these guys the paralyzing is just too op and kinda defeats the purpose of the whole game if there’s one bizarre op creature swimming around.
If you are gonna have a mosasaurus for a new tame, just be warned, these guys will kill it within a short span of time, so I suggest having other water tames to help protect your mosa that of which can’t be killed so instantly (my strategy) such as a megalodon.
