Okokokok so these things are GREAT! the saddle serves as smithy, they collect wood, fiber and thatch EXTREMELY well(not as good as a few other dinos but you get my point), and they are an early-game tame(although saddle is 61, it is still useful before then)and are still good in mid to late game! I would suggest taking one of these as fast as possible.

I tamed a male and female. I plan on mating and making a pelt farm to get fur armor and then tame an argy or something of the likes.

The beaver dams that they make are useful if you need lots of wood. Their dams are also helpful if you need cementing paste or pearls.

When farming wood far use argentavis and keep wood in castoroides to care more.

The giant beaver dams can only be accessed from above or inside (walking over it with wyv works well).. then prepare for war as usual

When saddled, it is a mobile smithy.wood and stone are half weight in its inventory.

Do not tame unless for achievement. The reason is for the cementing paste. Small dam yields a few hundred while large yields a thousand. Use a Bola right after harvesting the dam to have time for getting the stacks of wood out of your inventory. Clear the dam for faster reloading of cementing paste.

Only true veterans will remember when this thing dropped 4 metal battlements and 4 curved metal battlements.

Even though people don’t like the wood in this, I actually do, I usually find about 700, which helps me build my ongoing redwood forest base, it’s a double storey wood house with a large fence of wood, I will definitely make it bigger.

And if tame this guys they can gather rare flower and if you put that rare flower in their inventory rare flower never expire. Try it. Like if it's work.

These guys are only good In the wild just because they will rebuild and replenish the dams me and my friend have one that we get about 2000 cementing paste a week that we are built close to it makes building metal structures and whatever else needs cementing paste super easy

They are only good for their dams, other than that the only decent thing is their wooed collection

I would say that this is my preferd berry gatherer. I can cross rivers, go at a good speed and get 50 narcoberrys ber bush. It also has a smithy glued onto it.

Great utility animal. The saddle doubles as a smithy. Materials like stone, wood, and thatch weight less on the beaver as well.

Tame one and bring mammoths or parasuars to carry the wood.
