They won’t attack you if you don’t look into the beaver dam so you can carry them to a taking pen without taking damage

Have a ton of narcotics and do not leave them

Do not leave them unattended torpor drains quicker than you can run from a giga

Not sure why everyone discourages taming. I'm pretty sure the game replenishes their numbers every time the server goes through a wild dino wipe, and these little guys are really handy to have around for what little space they require.

Cost of Narcotics is way off. Bring ALOT more. Like 4x more

This beaver is a fast creature and can kill with ease i highly prefer building a trap using one stone foundation 4 doorframes and one ramp use narcoberries instead of narcotics because there torpor drains super fast

If your early game you will already have a trike which is better because the beavers saddle is at 50+ level

The way to tame these guys is to run up to one of their dams and then open it and then immediately close it (you don’t have to take anything from it, opening the dam will immediately aggravate all and any nearby beavers). Once this step has been done, you must bola the beaver (assuming only one tries to fight). I actually made a hearty mistake and bolaed the first one that came whereas I should’ve killed the second first (I was making a video, the second one got killed). Once the beaver is bolaed and separated from its mates, go behind it where it can’t hit you and hit it with a bat until you knock it out, but before doing any of these either kill jellyfish for bio-toxin for torpor (the beaver’s torpor will drain quickly) or farm a bunch of narcoberries in preparation. These guys are herbivores so you should also farm other berries besides narcoberries, or gather from the nearby forests. Keep in mind that beavers EXTREMELY slow eaters when knocked out, so patience is your weapon here.

In ark mobile it says to get some mejoberries, IGNORE IT. YOULL BE SITTING AND GUARDING FOR HOURS. Crops take long enough, Castaroides pursuit, you are cruel!

These thing lose torpor FAST, be prepared, happy taming

I play on singleplayer, make sure the one you wanna tame is alone and doesn't have it's buddies arouns, bola it and knock it out usinf tranq arrows, took around 100 mejorberries and 20 narcotics. Time? Around 20-30 minutes.

Their saddle is craftable from LVL 61!

Dont tame, just take em to your are if you've got a shallow water pen.

Be aware they are normaly found in groups so target one that is away from the rest

If you want to get a lot of pelt, make your base by the hidden lake on the Island, you can look up coords. Beavers spawn there, then harvest their bodies with pick. Don't worry about overhunting they just spawn again. And free dams.

Bring atleast double the recommended amount of narcotic items, trust me

If you wanna tame theese guys, make sure you have tranq arrow berries or crops. shoot them with a bow or cross bow on a rock or something until unconcios because ive seen theese guys kill a sarco, feed it berries or crops OR kibble. And you have a beaver! (i think ;))))) )

I found a level 16 for my pursuit to tame one. 2 Galli kibble and 10 (probably overkill) did the trick, took 2-3 minutes. 2-3 tranq darts will knock it out easily, just wait a second or two inbetween shots. Best wood gatherer, do not listen to anyone else. Also I've heard it can be a mobile smithy.

BOLAS, bolas make the knocking out part very easy simply throw it on them get behind them and then smack them with a bat, But make sure you have a lot of biotoxin because they’re unconsciousness go down at an insane rate

My Justin Beaver is half way done, Started with 107 Narcotics and I'm form to 57 and the torpor is going down so fast as I type this! JERRY GET THE NARCOTICS

According to some people “ you can passive tame with wood”, No. it doesn’t work. You have to knock it out.

This fella takes nearly 200 narcotics to tame, and takes ages, be warned
