The way to tame these guys is to run up to one of their dams and then open it and then immediately close it (you donโt have to take anything from it, opening the dam will immediately aggravate all and any nearby beavers). Once this step has been done, you must bola the beaver (assuming only one tries to fight). I actually made a hearty mistake and bolaed the first one that came whereas I shouldโve killed the second first (I was making a video, the second one got killed). Once the beaver is bolaed and separated from its mates, go behind it where it canโt hit you and hit it with a bat until you knock it out, but before doing any of these either kill jellyfish for bio-toxin for torpor (the beaverโs torpor will drain quickly) or farm a bunch of narcoberries in preparation. These guys are herbivores so you should also farm other berries besides narcoberries, or gather from the nearby forests. Keep in mind that beavers EXTREMELY slow eaters when knocked out, so patience is your weapon here.

If you want the stuff from their dams...don't tame them cause they won't build any more dams!
Be warned!! Iโve seen 2-3 of these take on a Spino and kill it!
Do not leave unattended the torpor goes down at a monsterous rate
Strong as hell, especially in packs. Don't put such nice things in your dam if you don't want me to raid it. Jerks.
Step 1 find a dam
Step 2 grab all the cementing paste ( useful for later )
Step 3 trap or take castaroides with argenttavis or a trap
Step 4 knock unconscious and feed
Step 5 use the cementing paste and other materials for saddle
Step 6 tame and ride
Step 7 hit a tree and get tons-o-wood
Step 8 your welcome ๐

Taming these takes so โdamโ long
I tamed a level 150 of one of these wood gods, and then... it fell of a cliff... with me on it
A Castoroides can be picked up by a argentavis
make 4 foundations and 6 doorframes
set the foundations and doorframes down on a flat surface
shoot the beaver with tranq arrows or tranq darts
(if you hit one they all start to attack you and if your not careful they will swarm you and deal enough damage to kill you and your tame)
guide the beavers in the little trap you made from the foundations and doorframes
kill the ones you donโt want and tranq out the one you do want
And boom you have itself a big prehistoric beaver
