If wild castoroides are penned in a small area (large tamming pen) they will create dams you can harvest for wood, cement, etc.

If you are out of stamina and close to water, dive and and replenish your beavers stamina fast. Just found this out, hopefully helpful.

Put one of these guys on wander by some trees and they'll break em down and get a bunch of wood got like 500 after a minute or 2

Have an argentavis and bring it in a inclosure near your base. This will allow you to tame it much easier than out in the open.

Everytime i fight with them they ripped my armour in seconds.

Castroides can breathe underwater and you can craft picks on them so they are perfect for oil runs

There’s no way one beaver just killed my spino in about 5 seconds man

make 4 foundations and 6 doorframes

set the foundations and doorframes down on a flat surface

shoot the beaver with tranq arrows or tranq darts

(if you hit one they all start to attack you and if your not careful they will swarm you and deal enough damage to kill you and your tame)

guide the beavers in the little trap you made from the foundations and doorframes

kill the ones you don’t want and tranq out the one you do want

And boom you have itself a big prehistoric beaver

Tamed one last night I used tranq darts it ate mejoberrys had to use alot of narcotic and when I ran out of 84 narcotics I used narcoberry it was a lvl 168 but keep an eye on it don't wander away for too long

You should get a couple tranq Arrows and a crossbow with at least 700 berries, and some narcotics . And BOOM you have Justin beaver ready to get wood.👍

Torpor drains like you wouldn’t believe, so make sure to brin Narcotics. Also, the tame won’t start until he eats on his own, so stuffing berries won’t do anything to speed it up until it’s already eaten.

If you are looking for a safe place with no carnos or allos around the beaver dams, you've come to the right spot. I play on Ark mobile and i live in the Southern Isles. Here are the coordinates for which i find my beaver dams: Lat 98, Lon 58. Also, heres a tip if you don't have a pteranodon. Just bola the beaver and shoot it in the head with a bow. I got a really strong bow from the pursuit Hunt: Dilophasaurus and it works well on the beaver. I suggest doing the pursuit if you are a beginner to get the bow. 30 arrows should do it for a small level. I hope this helped! Like so that beginners can see!

For Dam raiding, I drive my armored raft on top and take the goodies, i hear them chomping unsuccessfully on the stone foundations. However, I did have to replace all my wooden ramps with metal...🤣

They won’t attack you if you don’t look into the beaver dam so you can carry them to a taking pen without taking damage

An easy way to harvest the giant beaver dams is to land on top of it with a flier (I use pelagornis), then empty the dam’s inventory. Easy peasy. They literally haven’t been able to climb the damn and get me… yet.
