If you see these guys look for dams because it has cementing paste but use a flyer because they will attack if you look in the dams inventory I hope this was helpful by the way please pray for tarry my trike that got killed by these tanks

Casteroides are quite strong. Chomping through hide armor is no problem for these guys. (I am not kidding)

I just tamed two of these guys in less than a minute, as they were both starving to death. The first one was a female who I named Blossom while the second was a white male who I named Rascal. I have two other beavers currently - Going in the following order: Amber, Woodchucker, Blossom and then Rascal being the fourth. They are deeply appreciated teammates in my singleplayer animal tribe, and are definitely going to be useful in the near future. Now, that being said, if you see an animal that looks like it is starving like Blossom and Rascal were, or is in any other kind of physical or health related issue, call any agency who handles this kind of thing you may know of, and try to keep it alive until help has come. if you want a easy way to tame get a Dino that can pick it up make out of wood or stone shoot it then that’s it

Taming is stupid if you only play a little bit at a time this is not the one for you. just got done taming a 145 lv and it took one and a half stack of narcotics and two stacks of bio toxin and you have to stay with it the hole time I fed it with corn and it took 2 1/2 hrs to tame last one I will ever do and the taming on mine is set at 2x it is 1:27 am and my ass is going to bed I almost feel asleep taming it so if you don't have the time don't do it I could have took my two birds and got as much wood in the time it took to tame it just take a bird and pick it up away from the dam and take the wood from there just leave one stack so it will come back and put more in. Pro tip. get a good chain saw, a quetz with good weight and carry this guy on the back of the quetz and chop the tops of trees and put wood in beaver. could even work with multiple beavers to cut weight

Have level 1000 and you could kill a T-Rex

They can swim really quick in water. Go under water to collect oil.

Take the beaver to the swamp and eat the swamp trees to gather more thatch than wood. Not as good as the Rhino or the Moose, but still efficient.

Tamed casteroids are one of the best wood getters. The most effective way is to hold it with a argy and go flying in a forest. The casteroid will get wood by itself. They can also be used as a better smithy if u pump their weight bc there is no slot limit so u can fit more stuff in it. It is also mobile which is great bc u can't pick up vanilla ark smithys in addition they also lower the weight of wood in their inventory making able to carry more. Also in the wild they are neutral unless u raid their damns which are great for getting rare flowers, cementing paste, silica pearls, and wood in which case they will attack u.

Real ones tame it with dried wheat

I put them to sleep and steal dam stuff.

Then they will restore if after a bit of time. Also if you set them to wander after taming will make dams again.

To tame it’s easy

1.get a swim mount or something like that to be fast

2.Find a lake or river they spawn in

3.find a beaver dam and take the cementing paste out it’s something you may need later and the other stuff slows you down

4. Go to a sallow area or on land to see the beavers coming

5. If there’s like one or 3 you stay but if there’s more run or try to kill low levs

6.shot with narco crossbow or tranq darts at the one you want and you’ll the ones you don’t want

7.put mejo berrys or better food in it’s inventory

8. You now have a beaver

Beware, beavers oddly do a lot of damage and most can one or two hit you.

Would be best to tame with a crap ton of narcoberries. Save for Narcotics for something else.
