Because it's torpor was draining rapid fast.

It gathers automatically so carry with an argy through trees for safe solo wood gathering

I One of the dams or whatever you call it and it gave me 305 cementing paste and 24 silica pearls so take a risk and take that loot

Get one n only lvl weight so later on you can craft ascendant stuff you'll want about 1.4k maybe more.

Also counts as a mobile smithy when you saddle him

Best way to get resources from their dams is to

1) find a wild beaver

2) bring it to a water source closest to your base

3) let it wander around until it makes a dam

4) collect everything

5) manual save then leave and rejoin to make it not try to kill you

6) when you collect everything , destroy the dam and then wait until it makes another.

7) repeat for lots of resources

It will eat ur ass if u loot iys dam

A must have for PVE or PVP, ultimate wood gathering machines

I tamed of one castoroides and I killed two cnidaria for me they can actually kill those jelly fish .

Just drop a couple wild ones in a 4x4 stone pen and let them build their dams where you can raid them safely (after you destroy their original wild dam). But be sure to go 3 windows high or they will crawl out over top of the dams.

If taming, watch the torpor rate EVERY SECOND and use Bio Toxin. Torpor drain rate RIVALS even the Therizinos’. Pro taming tip. Only use bio toxin when taming. Tame stuff with narcs ONLY when you have a narcoberry farm, and a crap ton of meat on your carnivorous tames. I only use narcotics for crafting tranq darts and tranq arrows. There are a crap ton of Cnidaria on South Zone 3.

Tame one and let the hairy, wet, and good with wood beaver jokes commence.

On dam-building, it's correct that wild beavers cause dams to spawn, BUT dams don't cause beavers to spawn.

If you can make the kibble.

They take so long to tame even with crops the increase is 1%

And torpor drains ridiculously fast. I’ve lost 4 now trying to get to my base trying to get more narcotics

These guys can collect wood for you when put to "wander" And a lot in that. Wild beaver build beaver dams, so don't kill one in the wild. Just look for a nearby dam, loot it and run for life (beaver dams have valuable and rare resources in them)

Do not under estimate these beavers because there can be alot more in one area than you think qnd they are tanky and do pretty decent damage

These guys are easy to tame with a soothing balm. Im a beginner and just started a new game and im in the early 20's of the game. I had completed a pursuit before for killing piranhas, and as a reward i got a sotting balm. I was going to use it to tame a high level raptor, but it didnt work out. But since i heard that these beavers do dams, i wanted to tame one. I went after a 110 level female, and it took about 10 tranqs in the head. I boloed it and shot it in the head. I gave it the soothing balm and then gave it about 30 rockarrots at most. With the soothing balm, i suggest about at least 50 Narcotics. I used about 30, but if it is higher level, i recommend 50 narcotics. Just stay to guard your beaver and itll be fine if you keep its torpor levels up. I honestly dont know how many narcotics it takes to do without soothing balm but i hope this helped! Also, the coordinates of a safe place to find beavers is Lat:n98, Lon: 58.

Build a hut and put a bed in it near where these guys spawn and make dams for loads of cementing paste. They are also good and gathering wood before you can get a mammoth, but be warned they hit hard and make sure you have narcotics or lots of narco berries or they won't stay asleep for long.
