These guys are easy to tame with a soothing balm. Im a beginner and just started a new game and im in the early 20's of the game. I had completed a pursuit before for killing piranhas, and as a reward i got a sotting balm. I was going to use it to tame a high level raptor, but it didnt work out. But since i heard that these beavers do dams, i wanted to tame one. I went after a 110 level female, and it took about 10 tranqs in the head. I boloed it and shot it in the head. I gave it the soothing balm and then gave it about 30 rockarrots at most. With the soothing balm, i suggest about at least 50 Narcotics. I used about 30, but if it is higher level, i recommend 50 narcotics. Just stay to guard your beaver and itll be fine if you keep its torpor levels up. I honestly dont know how many narcotics it takes to do without soothing balm but i hope this helped! Also, the coordinates of a safe place to find beavers is Lat:n98, Lon: 58.

More Castoroides Taming & KO Tips
In Ascended, if you see a high-level female beaver and have an Argy, Rhynio, or any other carrying flier, TAKE IT and drop it in a 2x2 or 2x3 stone taming pen, only 1 wall high. When you leave the area, sheβll spawn beaver babies at her same level (If she already has beaver babies in the wild, theyβll chase after her I believe. Just donβt let them get swallowed up!) Now I have a lvl 100 beaver mom ready for taming, and her three lvl 100 baby beavers will be claimable after sheβs tamed!
If you want the stuff from their dams...don't tame them cause they won't build any more dams!
Do not leave unattended the torpor goes down at a monsterous rate
Strong as hell, especially in packs. Don't put such nice things in your dam if you don't want me to raid it. Jerks.
Why is everyone saying to build a trap? Like come on! Just bola it and shoot with tranq darts!!!
There is in fact a slot limit! All dinos have 300 slots available
Taming these takes so βdamβ long
Step 1 find a dam
Step 2 grab all the cementing paste ( useful for later )
Step 3 trap or take castaroides with argenttavis or a trap
Step 4 knock unconscious and feed
Step 5 use the cementing paste and other materials for saddle
Step 6 tame and ride
Step 7 hit a tree and get tons-o-wood
