Just use a long ranged weapon

Though menacing looking it is a lot easier to take on then it looks since it health pool is small I recommend any range weapon to take it on

How to tame a carno:

1. Get a carbonemys, preferably one with a lot of health if the carno is high level

2. Get some tranq arrows and a crossbow, then equip the crossbow in your hotbar

3. Mount the carbo then find a carno

4. Equip the crossbow while you are on the carbo then start shooting at the carno

5. Just keep shooting at it with your crossbow while your carbo tanks the damage until the carno starts running away which if you are lucky your carbo will be left at half health

6. Dismount from your carbo and start chasing after the carno while still shooting it until it falls unconscious

7. Feed it meat until it tames while watching its torpor.

You can actually tame a Carno pretty easily if you have the right items in Ark: survival evolved (at least on the Nintendo switch). The items I used are:

1-crossbow

2-narcotic arrows

3-raw meat

4- Beelzebuffo

Step one

Mount your Beelzebuffo and shoot the Carno with your crossbow and narcotic arrows from a good distance away

Step two

Jump away from the Carno about two times on your Beelzebuffo and turn and shoot it

Step three

Repeat step two until Carno is knocked out

Step four

But raw meat in the Carno’s inventory and wait for it to tame

Search for a raptor, and find out you can’t find one when you want to. Spot carno on the way. Get bow and tranq arrows, and shoot at the thing until it falls. Forget the stuff to keep it knocked out. Feed it meat, preferably regular to make it hard on yourself, realize that it is going to wake up. Collect berries. Force feed knockout berries. Realize it is taking too long. Tame other small animals (I did a patchy, iguanadon, and two dimorphs. Then you have a tamed carno. Bring prime meat if you do not want to collect berries (you will not get the full experience of realizing you forgot to bring any knockout things).

I used this and got an easy level 50 carno btw my dimorphidon was lvl 67 and trikes were 16 and 24

Carnos are good carnivores that aren't that hard to tame! They are fast, tanky, and do alot of damage! They don't take up that fast then other dinos and are not hard to find!

I recommend going to either carno island or beaches that are close to a forest, and are really easy to trap!

To knock it out make a trap and then feed it regular kibble

you can't tame it if you lvl 20 below cause you need tranq arrow

I only tame max level Carnos. Best way to find max levels is to go to carno Island and kill every carno till you come across your max level and then boom, easy tame!

I think it depends on the level but i juz used 2-3 tranq arrows and it's unconscious already, Just feed it meat, And incase the torpo is going down fast then just put narcotics in it's inventory and just press "feed" it will increase its unconsciousness, Then boom easy you have carno

3. Buck carno to sleep

4. Feed meat and narcotic

5. Congrats you have obtained a carno!!!!!!!

How to easily tame a carnotaurus

Step 1:find one

Step 2:look around it’s surroundings

It’s in wide open areas

Let’s start with two first

Step 3:make a trap(the trap would contain one wooden foundation,8 wooden door frames and two ramps.first,put down the foundation and 7 door frames

Lure the carno into your trap,and after that you just need to add in the last thing

You can use higher tier kibble for better taming effectiveness a lvl 100 carno on X2 taming rates gives 65.3% with one piece of tier 5 kibble.

Are animals hard to tame when they lose topor at a high rate

Well here is a tip

1.kill blue jellyfish things

2. Harvest there biotoxins

3. Feed to unconscious animals it’s +80 topor

If you are taming a carno without a trap get the high ground.

Make a raft with a stone door frame taming trap on it then scoop up a carno by driving into it. From there you just need to knock it out ,keep it asleep and give it some meat.
