Tips & Strategies

What are tips for carnotaurus? Tips and strategies for carnotaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
It is sad to see the Carno for not getting too much love these days. Whenever I try to find mutated Carno videos, it only shows a few of them before showing off Rex, Thyla, basically everything else except the Carno, and I'm disappointed. Carnos are basically a nerfed apex predator. They have the power and health you would expect while being speedy as well. They are not too difficult to tame, just a simple knock out tame. Even though a TLC could spice things up a bit, I love it for what it is.
Fun fact: on old ark mobile rexes were able to damage carnos and sometimes attacked them as prey, but now on ultimate mobile edition theyre best friends
My friend who is a noob was playing with me on mobile. I was helping them not die. I turn my Head for ONE second and they got killed by a carno. So, yes….. they thought it was a parasaur……how?
Probably your first canivore and it will make you feel like your the best of the best, or is that just me!?!?!
While setting up a base, a lv 40 alpha carno came out of nowhere to fight. I watched the fight with little emotion as this game has numbed me down so much. Luckily, I only lost two pterodons. Sadly, one of them was a lv 170
Me: let’s go get some fish!
Me: sees spino.
Me: oh no! Goes the other way.
Caro: zooms in from nowhere.
Me: runs.
Carno: is speed.
Diplodocus: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA CARNO FIGHT ME INSTEAD
me: thank you massive dino.
Get it stuck in trees. That’s how I tamed my first Carnotaurus!
The secondary bleed attack was a massive upgrade to this otherwise overlooked dinosaur. The bleed can deal up to 5% of a target's health over 10 seconds (regardless of your mount’s melee stat), applying to wild creatures and Alphas alike. On creatures with big health stats, no matter how big, you’re still guaranteed a kill in less than 200 seconds.
It has become my favorite Alpha and Giga killer (over the Thylacoleo and Deinonychus) due to its early game accessibility and criminal knockback. Of the three tames, the Carno has the best knockback while attacking, making a significant difference in the damage taken during battle between the three. I’ve eliminated Alpha Rexes by being slightly uphill and spamming the bleed attack without getting hit a single time.
Though perhaps not the most flashy tame, the Carnotaurus definitely a nostalgic weapon honed for a mighty purpose, the clawhammer in every toolbelt. I still scope out every pod of three that I find, hoping for 150s.
Drop a large bear trap, stand behind it, aggro the carno with a ranged weapon, draw into trap and just backup and down it.
Get a jerboa and name it carno bait, if one aggros on you, toss it and boogie
I actually knocked one out with a slingshot
Hello it’s kai the Dino guy . Thx for 23 on the Karpov tip ok here’s how to tame a carno 🔥🦕🦖
1.locate the carno you’ve Ben watching make sure he’s a loner by him self
2 you could craft a large bear trap it’s very pricey . Ok here’s the method to knock it out . Use a bear trap and club him or tranq him. Or you could stay on a rock and tranq him. I like using the belezbufo method just hit him until he knocks out .
3. Carnos can take a while to tame . They’d prefer prime meat but it would not hurt to have raw mutton
4 .keep its torpor good if you remember my last tip I use bio toxin but you could use narcotic here’s the list of most effective 1 is worst 3 is best
1narcoberries 2 narcotic 3 bio toxin
Well I hope this helped this one I had to rush
I’ll do how to tame a trike if dis hits 30
A really funny thing you can do with alpha carnos is to get a rhynio, lure an alpha carno to the beach, and get it to swim after you in the ocean. If it loses interest and becomes passive, then get close to it and dismount on your rhynio and it should start swimming after you again. Then when it gets too close you can fly some distance away, dismount, and it will start chasing you again. Do this a few dozen times and you can trick the alpha carno into swimming to herbivore island or any other crazy location since alphas can't drown.
You can also leave the alpha carno at sea then fly away from it until it disappears in your render distance and forget about it since it will never despawn, drown, or even move so you can go to it later to kill it.
This process takes 33% longer than with an alpha rex or raptor, since alpha carnos swim 33% slower than alpha rexes or raptors.
A really funny thing you can do with alpha carnoes is to lure one to a bronto using a mount, make it deal like a few hundred damage to it, then either fly or outrun the alpha carno and get some popcorn as you watch the bronto try to attack the alpha carno while the alpha carno is minding its own business wandering or killing another dino. The more damage the bronto takes the longer it will attempt to attack the alpha carno.
This happens because carnos don't attack brontos, and wild brontos can't damage alpha carnos.
If you need to find carnos for the "pro hunt: no bola, better run" pursuit, then go to the tundra and find yutyrannuses cause they will ALWAYS spawn with 3 carnos.
If you are asking these questions then I have replies:
1. Are you serious?
No, I am not serious
2. Is this a joke?
Yes, this is a joke
ON MOBILE-
DEFINITELY a creature you need for early to mid game. I have a level 173 female that was tamed at level 100, it gained 40 levels so the 33 levels were me leveling it. I put a decent amount of attack and got her to 4000 hp. She makes quick work of EVERYTHING, I've taken on 4 different alpha raptors (not at the same time), she makes quick work of rexes, brontos, and like I said, alpha raptors. There is an alpha rex kinda sorta near my base in the forgotten lakes, imma try and kill it tmm😜and also, be careful around the forgotten lakes, raptors, therizinosaurs, and alpha raptors will spawn near by. you all think the creator of this app should add a section for good base spots and stuff of that sort.
Bastards killed my christmas coloured argie. RIP Peppernint.
