Once I found a 290 carno so I tamed it and I checked it's stats and she had so much points in melee so I took on a level 180 alpha raptor and won.

Just get the high ground a rock should work

if you see a alpha (with particles and fire on it) RUN even if you have a pack of raptors you will lose

Be careful, carnos come seemingly out of nowhere, are quite fast, and can kill your raptor before your raptor can kill it. I recommend a decent level trike with good melee and stamina, and a pteranodon to kill it.

Carnos are super damn loud and they sound like stomping and a Motor machine

Coming back from 200m from my base in the foot paw, I saw one attack a wild parasaur, then come after me. I’m a noob so I died.The moral is to never try to tame dilos 😭

8 tranq arrows from a crossbow knocked out my carno she was lvl 33 used 7 narcotics and 30 +/- raw meat (not prime) took about 15 mins give or take she was extremely close to waking up but i was going to get crystals not a carno so i wasn't prepared 😅

For killing the alpha:There is a height in which you can hit it with your flight without being noticed even.My Lv80 Argent with 1500 stamina can easily kill one with several turns of rest and attack.Also valid on alpha raptors.INVALID on alpha rexes.They are so fast and their attack radius is huuuuuuuuuge so their is almost no way you hit it without being re-attacked.

It's sad to see the carno been replaced bt so many better dinos I recommend getting a barynex or a dire wolf if you want all around mount

WILD Carnos are just 0.5 units faster than a player with no points in speed, 892 vs. 892.5

If you have one point in movement speed, you should just be able to outrun wild Carnos, but don't count on it.

In reference to carno kibble: you can use cooked fish meat in place of normal cooked meat. Fun fact!

U can get one early game doesn't matter your lvl as long as you got a sling shot.

So first craft 2 sling shots yes two.

Put them in your hotbar and farm rocks along beaches or hit large rocks with a hatchet, next find it carno don't attack yet find high ground high enough to where it can't climb keep smacking it with ur sling shot and slowly but surely it will go down it'll take about two minutes then feed it some prime meat or raw meat it honestly doesn't matter and feed it some narcotics or bio toxins or in my case I gave it soothing balm and yeh that's it there are great creatures nice base stats great speed good health destroying melee attack can't wait till I get a saddle for it

Don't run into it at low level... you will die

wait to get a pteranadon to attack it. these dinos are really easy to kill. just make sure to keep an eye on stamina and for any surrounding carnivores.

This would probably be your first or second carnivore and it is not that useful in pvp except for the knock back.

Here’s a tip for leveling up fast (I’m on mobile so it depends) After you finish the hunt dilo quest you get a bow that does a lotta ding and if u get a low ding one rip. Just get one and shoot ‘‘em and everything from carnos to dodos. Boom you can get like 3 lvls in like 15 mins or smth. Also lvl up ur health stamina and speed if you wanna be safe you can do this in cloth amor as well but just be extra careful they also drop a good amount of arrows sometimes

How to a Carno 1 get a cross bow 2 get tranq arrows 3 find a Carno 4 when you have found the Carno you want tame if I don’t build a trap hop on a rock high enough then you can start shooting.
