Carnos are a good start for tames that deal good damage. If your a high enough level and see a whole pack of these, not a big deal, mow it down but if you even see a glimpse of a alpha carno.. please run. I brought my lvl 14 Rex and two carnos to carno island to get obsidian and we all got absolutely destroyed..

As of July 2020 it now does a bleed attack! Both tamed and wild!

Having a carno is almost required early game get one ss fast as you can, then just shred through early game

Carnos have a “blind spot” where they have trouble hitting you. If you get under their chest, then they have trouble attacking. Sometimes they’ll put you in their blind spot on their own and just stop attacking. I’m on mobile btw, so idk if it’s the same on console/PC

I have a alpha carto by my base so I’m trying to tame a lot of cartos and make them fight to the death

Use a crossbow or a pistol and just pray that you don’t get eaten

First day on Fjordur I had a campfire going and some meat cooking, next thing you know a a 140 Carno is chasing me 😭

Don't try to fight a carno with melee weapons. Use ranged weapons like bows or guns. Also, a carno will try to kill your Dinos before you, so be warned.

I had a pack of level 10 raptors I just had gotten and we easily beat a level 2 Carno. Not only that but these dudes are such scaredy cats. You hit them a bit and they run as fast as possible when they are low.

So i was walking down the shore line near my cabin looking for a dilo (i was planning on taming one), when out of nowhere, a carno comes running at me. I immediately stopped what i was doing and made a break for my cabin. I quickly ran inside and shut the door. What i didnt know at the time was that carnos can damage wood (what my cabin was made out of). Therefore it smashed through my wall, killed my dodo, and then killed me (ouch 😑) Up = rip for odin (my dodo), and/or my wall

Quick tip for new/replaying people, TAME A CARBONEMYS. They are super easy to find, very easy to get food for, easy to tranq, only kinda hard thing is getting a saddle for them. But if you get past that bit, you get a early game tank that can solo raptor packs. Now for the tip on the carnotauurus, get two carbonemys,(or one high hp one) and shoot tranq arrows at it while mounted on one. Put one of them on neutral, and let it attack the carno to distract it, and just shoot it over and over. Don’t get off the mount though, or else you die. If you got only one, you might just be fine shooting it while mounted if it’s got 3500+hp

When I get on the game I walk along the beach and there’s this carnotaurus just chilling killing a turtle I look at the health, the thing has 3,400 Health with a matting boost, save me pls

Just have 130% movement speed and you can run circles around the carno

Use high level trike to kill alpha or normal carno by its knockback

The Redwoods on the Center is the best place to find high level Carnos. Most of them are in the upper 90s, with the exception of a few level 45s.
