I suggest waiting until it chases you then get on rock/cliff and use tranq arrows to knock out.

I’m only lvl 64. I tamed my first carno. All I did was put a few tranq dart on it and it knocked out. I killed and alpha raptor and had a surplus of prime meat. So far, it’s been great for me.

Kill it with a crossbow trust me it helps

They are easily tamed with a crossbow and about 6-9 tranq arrows

Carnos are fast so get on top of something when taming it unless your high level

These are really strong you’ll hear loud stomping and he’s here for you

Alright listen up. Make a foundation floor 2x2 somewhere near a carnk you spot. Next build a doorframe walla round the foundations 2 high. Finally add WOOD RAMPs on one side of the box. MAKE SURE YOU USE WOOD RAMPS STONE IS TOO SHORT. Finally shoot the carno and run for your life into the box and run out through one of the doorframes when it falls in.

How to survive attack: find another dino that can attack and go behind it and the carno will go after that run and hide if worked out

I tamed up a lvl 24 and thought it was trash. Well.... a couple lvl’s later and this thing killed a pack a therizino’s. Just pump up stamina and some melee and I got ur self a beast

I brainstormed a way to tame it but i have not tried but u have to go on a rock get a slingshot with 40+ stones shoot at it until it runs and make it fall then feed it meat and u have ur own carno

Reminder have a pack of high lvl Dinos or mammals or you will end up with one dire wolf called firefly

I was taming the carno and every time i try to tame a Carno a stupid titanosaur kills me and the Carno

If u want to tame one tame it with prime don't use kibble and use argi or trap

If u ever run into one in the wild just sprint toward the nearest river dive in and attack the carno feet’s and u will be good. You should be fine killing it quick enough underwater with a metal hatchet or pike. 👍

Try to get it stuck in between two trees like I did then kill,tame,or escape it it was stuck for about 5 minutes

One attacked me while I was taming a baryonyx. I was able to take it out with a crossbow and pike, but If your any lower level than that you better run around other dinos and hope you have enough stamina.

I highly suggest riding a pachy while you encounter a carno and use its bash attack it's helps knocking it out in one shot

When gaming they don't have as high of a torpor as say a Rex but they are faster so keep aware. More of a mid level tame
