Helloooooo! It’s GastricGem1 and today I am talking about the carnotaur! It’s a super good tame and super dangerous. I recommend using a gun.( if you are trying to kill it.) if not well, crossbows and tranqs work pretty good for levels 1-95. I think anyway. These guys make creatures bleed like the Deinonychus I had about five that were high level and we managed to kill a Giganotosaurus! It was about level six. Two of them died, their names were Strike and Smash. Please up this tip to encourage me to look for more Stolen Headstones so I can give them a personal gravestone. Sniff Sniff

damaged quite quickly. Also make sure to plab the return route first, because i failed to and mine got murdered, well, slaughtered is more accurate, by an alpha raptor that ran out of the woods. My brand new carno lasted about 5 seconds, then the alpha went and killed three brontos in a group. Learn from my mistake, plan the rout home, scout well. Good luck

If the Carno is a lower level I would recommend using raw meat to save kibble.

I actually got lucky because I found one being pummeled by a stego and one of the long necks , I just tamed my first ever Raptor(lvl.7) so I snuck in and hit him with a few tranq arrows. I managed to knock him out and I started to feed him narcotics and raw meat, it took forever but I managed to tame him after 30ish minutes. This was in the middle of a pond at night with a therzo nearby, needless to say I’m lucky and terrified.

I encountered a wild carno and I hit it with a bat. It instantly started torpor running 😂😂

People who say this is useless on mobile, STOP!

My carno Isabel ran me through hunter cave without any problem, and defended me against a spino. Also, she has great stam like over 1500.

She does 124 damage now, and is my fourth tame, behind my pt black pearl, which I sadly lost to a giga just yesterday.

Conclusion: find high level, tame high level.

How to tame carno!

The carno is a horned theropod, similar to Rex. It spawns literately everywhere luckily not very common.

Materials:

Bow/crossbow

50 tranqs would be good? Better off with 100 to be safe safe.

A cliff.

A carno, best 90+ level.

Method:

1. lure the carno below the cliff.

2. Tranq it out.

3. Feed prime meat.

4. Watch torpor

Meat/hide harvester

Great cave animal! Do research on the caves

Giga killer because of bleed (pc)

Cool mount.

One tip: in ark mobile, when you sleep it makes all dinos in render, completely starved. I don’t know if it works on mobile.

If you aggro a carno, just run like the devil towards another Dino. They often will lose interest in you and attack the Dino instead.

I tamed one by using large bear traps and I shot at it until it ran into my line of bear traps, one after another as I shot it with tranq arrows. I named him brute because carnos look brutal and angry haha

Btw if you use the bear traps, make sure to set them out before getting the carno or any tames attention because the traps take a few seconds to set.

Not only does a carno have good damage, but they can also carry a lot of goods for you! It’s very useful and it helped me.

You could use a trap with 2 foundations, 2 high walls around, and a ramp, just lure it in then tranq

Carno's can't climb up ladders so make a ladder get up high and shoot it with tranq arrows

If they ain’t alphas a pretty easy tame 😡😡😡
