Solid early-game tame. Easy to get without having any tames, but can easily tank most beach-dwellers while hauling resources.

at the time im writing this i am level 17 i tamed one of these guys they are very good for base defending keep in mind i was in my single world a baryonx attacked my base i was standing on top of this turtle before it attacked i then charged with my spear and the turtle soaked up most of the dmg in the end the bary died the turtle standing on 82 health and me repairing my armor

Awesome because you can glich it and ride it without a saddle by standing on it's shell and whistling it to go somewhere

My turtle shelly level 45 helped me takeout a dino called allo or whatever it looked kinda like a trex but anyways i just started the game so i saw this turtle and searched up how to tame one i figured i should get a slingshot first when i got it i shot it and made it follow me till it got stuck in two trees so i knocked it down and a day later i found an another turtle fighting this dino that looks like a t rex i helped the turtle and made my turtle shelly fight with us so the other turtle died but me and shelly made it. Now i'm level 15 still a starter and this story it recent but what i mean that these creatures are in my opinion the best in the game

The best way to tame high drain rate creatures is with bio toxin: These turtles farm it safely, and also help you knock things out (you can shoot stuff with tranq arrows/darts from it’s back while it soaks up enemy attacks) - all around very useful low level tame. Trike becomes better at some of it, but they can still farm jellyfish like pros.

Super easy to tame, these turtles are a living shield for you!

You can ride them without a saddle by simply jumping onto their back. This works with both tamed and wild carbos.

Extra: you can whistle a carbo around to get it to move where you want if you don't have a saddle

Nice early game water mount and good endgame for tuso taming.

When soaking turrets with these guys, walk them backwards because they take reduced damage. Their head and legs take normal damage

I alredy had 5 of these things... i used them to kill 3 carnos and 2 raptors... Kind of easy

I think these guys should be immune to the cnidarias attacks since turtles like the sea turtle is immune to jellyfishes and eats them .

Punp max health and it's a decent early game soaked also good if you throw loads of them into bases with crabs

I am new to breeding and my baby carbo died and I harvested it's body and it gave me raw prime meat

Tame a male and female to breed. Then hatch the baby by putting campfires on a foundation with walls around it. When it hatches look after it until it matures. Fun to do, especially if you are bored.

When my invventory gets too heavy, I use my turtle as my legs.

Bump if you think WC should make this immune to shock & able to collect lots bio toxin plus weight reduction on materials like stone, flint & wood!

If you kill a carby, you should plan on raiding a base while you are at it ‘cause when you drag it’s body, it covers you like a turtle blankie, so you can soak all but tek turrets, because they have explosive damage. You won’t take any damage because you are stuck inside the turtle.

Just imagine riding this with a cannon and a tank turret and get and army and raid a big base: This thing is the living tank of ark
