The best use of turtles in base defense (especially on a primitive server) is a whole group of them. When you get raided they will swarms the gigas and rexes rendering immobile. That allows your plant X and turrets to go to work for longer. And nothing can tank like a well leveled turtle with its shell defense and a (hopefully bumped up) saddle

I used this to tame a baryonyx by shooting tranq arrows at it while on my turtle, it has some decent hp and if you level it up you could even use it to try and tame bigger things. I tried doing the same method on a spino and it worked (unfortunately it went unconscious under water and drowned)

This creature is a shit. sorry but it had no special abilities! it can only got narcoberrys but reeealy lame.and in the water is it not very fast because its a water creature.

Good defense if high lvl I had 4 100 imprint lvl 43-57 and I just upgraded health (Melee damage is really bad for carbonemys) and they each had 5000-6000 health

Very good early game for hauling wood and stone if you don't have the supplies to tame a trike

Punp up health and attack and lots of stamina and you have yourself a war turtle.

Utility Roles:

1. Tank - These big roaming creatures are bulky and a good defense pet for beginners. They are easily available as they are navigated on the beaches and are extremely slow but they can be good for protecting bases.

2. Keratin - If you simply want keratin the easiest way is to access the beaches and start looking for these bulky creatures. If you can tame them, you can kill them. They harvest keratin once deceased which you can use for saddles.

3. Breeding - And yes of course you can breed them in which you can create your own population of these huge beasts! You can be unstoppable with these huge tanks!
