I only use these guys for one thing, to soak turrets. They take a lot less turret damage than anything else louse they are super easy to tame

No reason to tame these things unless your using it to soak some damage since they got a lot of health or just use these for regular kibble

How to tame:

Use a bow or rifle with tranqs and walk backwards while shooting. They’re very slow so the odds of them catching and killing you is unlikely.

What they’re good for:

Raiding! They take reduced damage from turrets making them the ultimate turret drainers. They’re also quite tanky so a high level one can easily get up to 1 million health.

YOU CAN ALSO REFREGERATE BERRIES AND MEAT ON THE TURTLE .While his a good mount to be move around the water in pairs or 5 so it can cover your blind spots and it will also kill mantis under water with ease.

This Dino is a little hard to knock out but is an ok land and sea mount

When using a turtle to drain bullets from auto turrets, make sure the bullets hit the SHELL! The shell takes 0.2 of the damage versus the tail takes 0.5 of the damage. A VERY significant difference over time.

I had just joined for the first time in ark, I knew nothing about the game. After a while I got a thatch house, clothes, basic tools, and Spears. Then a lvl 32 Carno divides that I looked tasty, so it came and killed me and destroyed my house. I was living on the beach where you spawn. So after respawning making spears and attacking the Carno for the millionth time, I saw one of these and punched it in the head until it KOed. It was only lvl 3 but I tamed it, made some spears and brought it over to the Carno. That turtle and I went to town with that Carno and pulverized it. I recommend taming these if you are just starting out.

Turtles are very good at tanking auto turret bullets as headshots dont count as critical and when tamed at high levels can get an extreme ammount of health

This great for gathering berries but keep it close to home sense it is slow. You can also use it to tame large game like the rex by distracting it with the carbonemys

When sent into battle, will take mass amounts of projectiles/hits but converting to minimal damage being taken away from turtles health.

Turtles have a very hard shell that can protect them.

You should tame one, make a saddle, and then use it to gather berries.

I kill these for fun they gave me so much pain in my early game and now that I have rexes I murder them all.

They’re really common and kill them to make paste.

There are slow but super strong, I had 2 tamed ones take down therizinos various times as well as sarcos, I just use them for defense from other creatures that could attack my base :)

Tame one of these I saw one kill a sarco 100% sure you should take it and it WILL defend you rlly good.... like is da best for beginners

Perfect soakers, takes 50% reduction from bullets to its tail, and 80% reduction from bullets to its shell.

If you ride them, the turrets will still shoot the Carbonemys instead of you, unless they are right above you.

Ad that they got greater healthpool than both Stegos and Trikes, ad the mate boost effect and even the yuty roar effect, ad even saddles to them, and there is only one dinos that beat it when it comes to soaking, and that's a rock elemental aka golem.

And, they are easy to tame, slow, just tranq out and feed mejoberries or kibbles, and you got yourself a soaker capable to take out any base defences.

Use snow owl or deodon to heal them in between.
