These giant turtles are EXTREMELY tough. I was level 20, and was killed by a level 4! I needed the meat and hide for food and a saddle. The best way to kill/knockout these guys is to stand on top of them. Just jump on top and STRIKE! Just make sure there are none around, if there is you need to kill/knock out the others, then kill/knock out the one you want. Hope this helps!

Walk back wards and hit it in the head with a slingshot. It work, I promise.

Really easy to tame just get some tranq arrows/ darts and use kibble if very high level (around 150+).

I know all of you have come across these and you might had killed it for hide and meat I know I have but these are really good because say if you have one and you have a lot of stuff all you have to do is put all of your stuff in there and they will still move and follow you and they are good for swimming and for going to different islands (I hope this helped).

How to knock out and tame:

1. You need to craft a long range weapon (e.g slingshot or arrow)

2. Keep shooting it until it tries to run

3. Hit it with a club over and over until it catches Zzz’s

4. Gather berries (Mejoberries work well) also keep your dinos nearby to make sure it doesn’t die.

5. Feed it the berries

6. When tamed, give it a name!

7. Enjoy your new pet!

find one and keep hitting it with an weapon (of any type I recommend ax though) and then when it knocks out give it berries and then boom now you got one.

For beginners

Charge a level 2or 3 with your club and just keep hitting them till they start to run or stop fighting fight back. Then hit them a few more times and there unconscious.

Feeding them for beginners

Just feed them pretty much any berry and just wait.

Boom you got one!!!

Firstly make an crosbow or an bow

Then make some tranq arrows them from some distance shoot arrows at carbonemys

Also find a low level carbonemys for easily tame

Then put berries and narco berries or narcotic for unconscious

Then it will tame

You shoot with arrows until at 200 health then hit with slingshot feed mojo beries then wait

This is one of the easier tames you can still die to it though. All you really need is a slig shot and walk backwards because their slow if it starts running away your almost their. Remember to have plenty of berries

My main piece of advice for anybody going after one of these is to make certain you hit them in the head. Bolas are useless on these guys but you wouldn’t really need them anyways because of how slow they are. Essentially all you need to do is walk backwards and shoot arrows at its head. If this style of taming doesn’t fancy you though, you could always make a trap and lure the Carbonemys in that way. Once it’s down, just feed it your choice of berries or kibble and boom! (1/148)

Guys these things are AMAZING starter tames. All you need is a club and some mejo berries, (purple) and you should be able to tame a low level. And they do well against compies, dilos, and with enough of them, rexes and spinos!

Always remember to hot the turtle with a arrow then count to five then hit it agein

Aim for the soft neck with tranquilizer darts instead of the shell
