i tamed one of these guys around level 5 and i say a theri out of no where and my level 110 carb killed it but i had to shoot it with my bow as well

A good tame to have for early players that want to explore the ocean a little. Be warned, you shouldn’t take it too far in as things can get a bit rough quickly. Good if you want to cross a river that’s deep and may be dangerous. Very slow on land however. Make sure to buff it’s health and speed.

2 mate boosted and imprinted turtles is like taking 6 tamed 150s to a fight

Some good advise is to stay behind it, it is a easy way to kill or tame it without taking little to no damage. Unless using a ranged weapon then just run backwards and shoot it

Thank the turtle then come up and kill it and harvest and get your keratin for your new saddle for your pterodactyl or maybe a Pagonis or for a new gravestone

I know all of you have come across these and you might had killed it for hide and meat I know I have but these are really good because say if you have one and you have a lot of stuff all you have to do is put all of your stuff in there and they will still move and follow you and they are good for swimming and for going to different islands (I hope this helped).

I had just started out Ark and I had tamed a level 35 Parasaur and decided to try tame one of these turtle things… And to my shock this lvl 10 turtle had destroyed my lvl 35 Parasaur

I just hunt this guys for like 2 second enjoy poor carbons.

Stay clear they hurt if see don't go near it.

find one and keep hitting it with an weapon (of any type I recommend ax though) and then when it knocks out give it berries and then boom now you got one.

Just grab a sword and start whacking the crap outta the big turtles (piece of advice grab a shield to protect )

if you want keratin use this strategy a dilo and you use spear set it to neutral or attack target attacknit and keep hitting the dilo is your distraction and you dilo will spit acid when he faces your tame hit alot ti faces you again and keep walking backwards and when low health stab it few hits will kill it thats my if im level1-20.

Hop on a rock pull out a sling shot or bow and tranq and fire away(make sure he or she can’t get on the rock)

They are decent climbers, so be ready to jump off of your safe rock, because they will climb up and get you.

How to knock out and tame:

1. You need to craft a long range weapon (e.g slingshot or arrow)

2. Keep shooting it until it tries to run

3. Hit it with a club over and over until it catches Zzz’s

4. Gather berries (Mejoberries work well) also keep your dinos nearby to make sure it doesn’t die.

5. Feed it the berries

6. When tamed, give it a name!

7. Enjoy your new pet!

For beginners

Charge a level 2or 3 with your club and just keep hitting them till they start to run or stop fighting fight back. Then hit them a few more times and there unconscious.

Feeding them for beginners

Just feed them pretty much any berry and just wait.

Boom you got one!!!
