What are tips for carbonemys? Tips and strategies for carbonemys in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
DO NOT USE BOLAS ON THEN!!! it just makes them mad and they will come after you so just don’t use bolas please spare your life
If you have a low level Dino I wouldn’t fight this guy. Well unless its like the same level.
They will wreck your Dino trust me I met a level 46 turtle with my level 31 trike it obliterated me.
These things hit like freaking truck keep your distance and you'll be fine
Git far away and nock it out just in case having speed is key
They are literally prehistoric giant turtles. Like snapping turtles, but bigger. If you want to kill, then just get on a rock and shoot it, or, if you really like to be in danger, then go down there and put up a good fight. If you’re escaping them, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT go in water. They are slow, but they have no oxygen so when you’re hiding in water, tough luck, idiots. You’ll die if you’re coming up for air.
(This is a guide for mobile players, idk if it is different for pc/console) These guys are simple tames for beginners/new players. Although they are slow, they carry a lot of weight, and are very tanky. I personally use them for bait to tame other dinos.
You’ll need:
-A slingshot w/ about 160 stones (for lvl 150) or bow/crossbow w/ 55 tranq arrows (for a lvl 150)
-LOTS of Berries/Mejoberries (or even Pteranodon Kibble)
-Narcotics just in case!
KO:
-Find a Carbonemys and make sure it is by itself (Lower level Carbonemys are easier to tame).
-Start shooting it with your slingshot or tranqs. Don’t worry about it killing you because it is kinda slow. Just be careful by staying a safe distance and running a few meters away from it once in a while. Their DMG can reach high lvls.
Taming:
-Once its knocked out feed it lots of berries or kibble. Feed it Narcotics when it’s unconscious rate gets low.
With a little bit of patience, you’ll have a giant pet turtle! :D
How2Tame #6: Carbonemys
Welcome back, all, to How2Tame, hosted by me, Zeta, who teaches players how to tame creatures they'll want to have! Today's hot topic: Carbonemys. Let's get started.
1. Gather lots of berries and craft a Club. You may sight the Carbonemys and walk up to it. Jump on its back and start striking it repeatedly with a club. Soon the turtle will fall asleep. Feed it berries.
2. Remember to have a saddle ready. You can ride this.
3. If the torpor gets too low, Feed the turtle black berries. They increase torpor.
4. You have yourself a Carbonemys! Name it and equip the saddle.
5. Upgrade health and speed preferably, so that your Carbonemys is healthy and fast on land— which most Carbonemys are slow. Remember to feed it daily.
And there you have it folks! Your very own turtle! This is Zeta of How2Tame signing off. PS see my episodes below.
1. Dodo
2. Parasaur
3. Lystrosaurus
4. Dilophosaur
5. Moschops
6. Carbonemys
7. (Coming soon!) Compy
I haven’t seen anyone mention it might not have looked long enough but this fat slow moving turtle acts an early fridge. Not at good as the fridge in the game but still works until then. It’s also good for eggs and can carry a lot of supplies. Underrated tame still use the at outpost around the map for mobile chests and fridges.
A low level turtle is a great source of keratin, hide and meat but if you see one extremely high level and your under level 20, they are harder to kill than low level Raptors...
Taming these guys is pretty easy, if your a beginner and your looking for one I recommend looking for low levels because then you can knock it out with a slingshot, do not try taking out high level Carbo’s if you just started, because for high levels your gonna need tranq arrows. Also, before you tame them make sure you have enough berries or you can’t tame them.
Use Trang arrows to knock out. Try to hit them in the neck or leg for the most damage. Don’t waste ur narcotics in these guys. They eat berries, most preferred with megoberries. Another approach is to jump on their back and hit them with an axe. Hope this helped!
Quick tip you can not bola these things I learned that the hard way
