Tips & Strategies

What are tips for broodmother lysrix? Tips and strategies for broodmother lysrix in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Always do the level 3 boss because doing them all takes more resources and if you complete level 3 you get the rewards from 1 and 2 also.
I'm doing this on alpha. My megatheriums have 30k health and 800 damage (19 megatheriums 1 yuty) wish me luck
Commonly the first guardian people fight (due to the artifact requirements), the broodmother is far from the easiest, with the highest health pool out of the island bosses, though less dps, this big ol spider is either super easy or a terrifying beast which can wipe out armies with ease, so, as someone who’s defeated it, here’s some tips to ensure you too can claim the alpha broodmothers head.
With almost a million hp, the alpha broodmother is meant to be fought with high level, mutated and imprinted Dino’s. The most optimal choice is megatheriums, with relatively cheap saddles, common spawns and their extremely powerful bug rage, allowing them to take less damage and deal far more, making them the best option for this fight. By simply having them harvest one of the spider minions, they become monstrously powerful. I’d suggest about 20-25k hp on each of them, with 1k melee aswell, saddles should be anywhere between journeyman and ascendant. If you want an extra level of safety, add about 5 veggie cakes to each of them, though it is quite expensive. Bring along a yuty with high stamina to boost the megatheriums even further. The boss is coded to target the largest tame in the arena, so it’ll try to target the yuty over the others until attacked, allowing the Megas to get in some early damage. Your goal is to keep the brood stuck, if she managed to get loose, your dps will be reduced greatly.
Another way to fight the boss is with theris, using the same stats as the megas. Rexs are good too, but due to being larger then a yuty and being carnivorous, they not only are targeted instantly when entering the arena, but can’t get extra healing from veggie cakes.
Recommend equipment:
Ascendant armor (riot or flak)
Ascendant pump shotgun (if you lose your tames)
Medbrews galore (if you get damaged too much while running from it, specifically if you’ve lost all your mounts)
Dino stats:
20-25k hp, for easier leveling get 60 points of natural stats through mutations before leveling.
1k melee, same points before leveling as hp.
Saddles:
Journeymen or higher, 60+ armor preferably.
Color with cool combos for style points.
Misc: the broodmother is the only one of the guardian bosses to have an open world variant, found in the spider cave entrance on valguero.
This should all be enough on SINGLEPLAYER SETTINGS, for multiplayer stats, preferably use something else, these are for difficulty 1 in single player on ark survival evolved.
Good luck, survivor, you’ll need it!
I think you should take some Spinos with Megatherium and Yuty instead of Rexes because there is water in Broodmother's arena so that Spinos can have their water buff that will help for killing Broodmother fastly.
On fjordur, the broodmother has water pools in theit arena to boost either shadowmanes or spinos.
Bring a high level reaper king with full imprint and it can do it solo!
Bring an army of megatheriums they'll destroy her into pieces
Use a rocket launcher. About 15 or less.
Breed 2 high level megatheriums and get 18 imprinted megatheriums a daeodon with a lot of prime meat and a high level yuty and STAY ON A MOUNT
When you take on the brood. Rush it. If you get your rexs to surround it you can pin it so it doesnt do its poison attack. Rexs will need 30k hp 800 melle and you will need 10. For Alpha i suggest 85+ saddles 40k hp rexs.
Trap it with a lot of rexes and eat it
Bring Megatherium because of their buff against all insect and with ten of them thex y are easy rect
Most people use megatheriums,do that with a Yuty and 5 megatheriums, you'll probably be fine
On valguero, there is a cave in which the broodmother can spawn on its own.
So many people.suggesting bring 10 rexes or 12 megas etc.; this is still a boss and you gain no benefits from going in light. You can bring 20 dinos, so bring 20 dinos. Rexes do just fine with mate boosted Yuties buffing. Took barely two minutes on Gamma and Beta.
Other counter-advice; stop worrying about the levels of your dinos and look at their stats; a Level 200 Rex can still have 40k food and crap melee.
“Step on it Arnold, step on it!”
They always said I would never kill the broodmother but I didn't listen but when I tried I immediately died so I advise you to be about lvl 100 something.
If you’re new to the game please read. I’m pretty new to bosses and did not realize how BIG of a difference saddles make. They do a MASSIVE DAMAGE REDUCTION. I mean massive. I’ve lost to the boss twice once with Rexes and once with megatheriums. I have a lot more High level Rex saddles so I’m doing Rexes, but Megatheriums with high saddles are the optimal choice for the fight
THERE IS A WEAK POINT!! SHOOT THE PINK BACK REGION FOR MAX DMG
You can't forcetame it in the oblisk . You need to summon the brood out of the oblisk and then forcetame it
